For years, I have heard all kinds of things and the word in fear. I have never heard the Word taught quite like you teach it and it makes me want to be all that I have the potential to be. It reminded of the Word that you taught 'the word dividing soul & spirit'. And the Word for today "brain Washed" I got it. When you hear brain washed you are incline to think about stories like the jim jones tragedy in Guyana.
But thank you for hearing the voice of God and doing what he alone will have you do.
Thanks for challenging my potential.Ocelander Masonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15900806004260947959noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-96114027914038785.post-2661260732432660182008-11-17T22:07:00.000-05:002008-11-17T22:07:00.000-05:00Everyhing???Der, which way did he go George, which...Everyhing???

Der, which way did he go George, which way did he go?Donaldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06539338756284929311noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-96114027914038785.post-12715278391109414362008-11-17T22:04:00.000-05:002008-11-17T22:04:00.000-05:00I have a semi-praise report. It appears that my dad...I have a semi-praise report.
It appears that my dad did not have a heart attack. Some of the symptoms and complications from the possible pneumonia mimicked heart attack symtoms on some tests that had been ran at the smalltown hospital/microwave oven repair shop where he lives.
But he still needs prayer because coughing up blood is never a positive sign for anything.
As I was visiting him earlier this evening in the ICU room, his dinner was brought to him. He managed to do his customary blessing over his food before he started eating.
Now I'll admit that hospital food will probably never be offered at Emeril's or any other fine dining establishment, but it is what it is and it does have a purpose.
I know that my dad was in a cantankerous mood due to his illness and all the wires and stuff attached to him, but something struck me wrong when he sampled some of the food and made a very negative comment about it.
I started thinking that this food that you just cursed is what you had just asked God to bless only moments earlier.
Later as Her Majesty and I were sitting in a little restaurant eating I mentioned the situation to her. At first I was addressing it from a negative point of view strictly aimed at my dad.
But I realized that I was not allowed to see that event just so I could think bad about my dad, but I saw that because it was intended to be an object lesson for ME.
I started thinking about how many times I had prayed for things to happen, but between the time that I prayed and the time that the prayer was answered, if it ever appeared to be answered, that I had done alot of bi---I mean complaining.
What I was being shown was that I was just as guilty of cursing things that I had asked God to bless as anyone else ever has been.
"Lord, if it be your will that we buy this house, then just let everyhing go in our favor at the bank."
"I am sick and tired of the drafts in this house and this crappy neighborhood and everytime I turn around something is breaking and needs to be fixed!"
Yea, guilty as charged.
I need to be brainwashed some more looks like.Donaldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06539338756284929311noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-96114027914038785.post-16500998700213140222008-11-17T21:55:00.000-05:002008-11-17T21:55:00.000-05:00I love the way blown glass will have such a ripe b...I love the way blown glass will have such a ripe blend of colors and yet each color is fully represented in its virgin state, although mixed, striated or mottled.
The same way I love good Chinese food, cooked in a wok to keep the unique flavors and yet create a palette for the eyes.

We are more beautiful together than we are apart!

Peace,

Larry

word ver: SLEXAZES- "Spirtual Lexicon A to Z Educates Souls"Larry Usherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09646136429393405366noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-96114027914038785.post-770133089470819782008-11-17T21:39:00.000-05:002008-11-17T21:39:00.000-05:00Crown, liked the post.An observation/validation/au...Crown, liked the post.

An observation/validation/augment-
ation.

From the text of your post:

"In my younger days I played sports. I came to observe that we fail under pressure usually because we reach a point where our ability to focus on execution yields to concern about outcome. This worry about outcome forces us to lose our concentration. The fear of failure begins to rule our emotions and actions, which ultimately results in our failure. What we fear has come upon us. It becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy."

We often fail because we were never meant to be involved in the first place. So many "square pegs" trying to do the "round peg's" job! This happens in church, on the job, in relationships...everywhere.
In playing sports for example, the kid who is pushed into it by his vicariously living parent reaches this place of total frustration/exhaustion as he tries to "play the role".
Our Heavenly Father's "job", as is a parent's, is to find the niche that their little "square peg" can fit into. Only then do they find fulfilment & the "light burden".
Christ never intends for us to perform, he only asks that we be. And being is gloriously enough!

Blessings,

Larry

word ver: CYTOGIZE- from cyto meaning cell, all the cells
comprising an organism congealing.

2nd word ver: NOUSE- "NO USE crying over water under the bridge." You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!" - Matthew 25:21
Testing allows one to discover how well a product is made when placed under extreme stress. Increasing the pulling pressure between two objects reveals the amount of tension that can be withstood in a chain link. Eventually, the "choking" point occurs. In sports, we ascertain the "choking" point for athletes by putting them into a pressure situation. At what point will the athlete lose concentration and collapse under the pressure? It is under these stressful times that we discover how well we have been trained to withstand the pressure and make right decisions regardless of outside influences.

In my younger days I played sports. It becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

In life, we see giving in to pressure in the form of compulsive behavior, withdrawal, anger, abuse, moral failure, and dishonesty, to name just a few manifestations.

Jesus never yielded to pressure. He never made decisions based on outcome. He always made the right decision. He always performed the same no matter what the circumstance. He lived a life based on absolutes, not circumstances. He never gave in to "situational ethics."

As God entrusts us with more and more responsibility, He brings more and more pressures into our lives to "test the product," to make sure that He can give even more responsibility to us. This process helps us see where we are in our maturity and determines our level of future responsibility.

Are you a product that can withstand the product test? Will you perform as the Maker designed no matter what outside pressures come? Know that you cannot perform well unless you are continually in relationship with and obedient to the one who made you. Trust the product developer today. He has made you to perform well under pressure.Linda Lukehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03587500250873069369noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-96114027914038785.post-75524112738298672892008-11-17T18:56:00.000-05:002008-11-17T18:56:00.000-05:00Bishop,Big surprise when I saw that you had put w...Bishop,
Big surprise when I saw that you had put what I posted on your blog. No one got much sleep, especially us. I knew after Wednesday's message I really needed and wanted to be there Sunday. In reading the earlier post from yesterday and your message as well, I too am in a major peeling process. I've got a whole set of Samsonite baggage that I haven't let go of. I'm too old and set in my ways which really is a struggle at home sometimes. I married someone two years ago who was nearly 11 years my junior with two minor children still at home. To say it has been a challenge is no joke. I never had children and did not live near to my only nephew to see him grow up. To say we are "The Odd Couple" personality wise is a stretch, but not too far. I am the neat freak and the spur under the saddle in our home. We both came from very strict upbringings, but I being older have more of a old school mentality when it comes to kids and discipline. This is where I find it really hard to bend and when I try to participate in the process I am usually overidden. She is a teacher, so she has wonderful patience and insight with children that I sometimes lack.

I am calling on the Holy Spirit to change me. I really feel that more than half of the issues in my home and with our lives is me and my own "brain washing" that I must allow to take place. Much of my rigid thinking is even a problem at work, as I am far too exacting and a harsh critic of myself as well. The stakes are too high spiritually and emotionally to stay in this place.

Please pray for us that we not be forgetful hearers but doers of the Word we've received.

We love you and Pastor Debye and stand behind you 100% as you reach out to Brazil and the Philippines and the uttermost parts of the earth.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-96114027914038785.post-74429138585012547792008-11-17T14:57:00.000-05:002008-11-17T14:57:00.000-05:00Just checkin' in...Hey Mayam, nice sentiments!
