Good word tonight...was struck with the thought of King Herod having to stand by his words even when he spoke them in a blinded passion because as king he must follow through on his words for them to have power. Thought of each one of us as kings and for us to ensure that our words carry weight we must follow through on them even if we speak without thinking or out of mis/lack of understanding. Had Herod not taken John's head nothing he would have said from then on would have been taken seriously by his people. So too our words must be follow by action regardless of wether we intended to speak them or else no one will take us seriously. ...and this thought as well. I think Herod's brother's wife was the one who had the problem with John. It seems as if she is the true catalyst behind Herod's actions in regards to John.
Doesn't a moment like that just make everything else just "stand still and go away" for awhile ? Beautiful, savor it, breathe it in and just enjoy.......it doesn't last nearly long enough.
just gotta add my awww how cute here. Partly because the ratio of women to men posting is out of balance but mainly because the picture touched my heart. May Olivia continue to bring much joy into your life, friend.
Her Majesty seems to think this photo had to have been computer enhanced to be that fine. She actually used the word "sweet", but I feel a little bit silly saying "sweet" in a serious way.
What a GREAT proverb...from one grandparent to another, I agree. Precious girl, precious pic.
