Decree It!

You shall also decide and decree a thing and it shall be established for you; and the light [of God’s favor] shall shine upon your ways. (Job 22:28 AMP)

Today I will live in the now! I will live in the now because I know that life is a series of decisions and choices and I am making good and right choices for my life today. Everything that I am presently doing will either benefit my present or my future, so I choose to do things that will help me in the long run and will complement the big picture.

Today I will be willing to make decisions that bring me temporary discomfort in the present, if I know that they will pay off for me in the future. Today’s decisions are tomorrow’s realities, and I plan to have a very good tomorrow!

Today I will remember that destiny is not a matter of chance, it is a matter of choice, so I will listen and think and meditate and pray, being careful and wise with the power of my will.

Today I will create events and change circumstances with my decisions, knowing that the people in my life respond to the decisions that I make. I am not alone in my life; my life affects and influences others and so do my decisions. The quality of my decisions will determine the quality of my relationships, so I will think before I act, and I will act responsibly.

Today I will remember that God deals with me according to my decisions, and He acknowledges my decrees as the Apostle and High Priest of my confession.

Today I will express my desires and dreams by my decisions and will dedicate myself to the discipline of being diligent enough to dare to make them come true!

Today I will walk in the Spirit, for as many as are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God. Even though I understand the power that I have over my own destiny, I will always acknowledge that it is not by might nor by power, but by His Spirit. I will trust God with my life today, and today I will live in the now!

Father, help me to make good decisions and to decree them in faith today.
In Jesus’ name, amen.

I decree --- There is no loss ever, anything perceived as lost is transition to something new, which any perceived loss was a seed for.

Wow, what a beautiful day, swimming, boating, cooking a new recipe, and praising God full of gratitude all day long. In all that we have shared on the blog over months, and years (CITN blog) and today, wonderful. In all of this, I see that The Spirit is expressed, applied in all of our lives daily, in every area, what seems most profound and most mundane, all is Holy, because we are, as unmerritedly provided for by God, Grace, received by Faith, founded in Love.

Each day is in Hosanna’s realm, The Kingdom in and around us. All we see, hear, touch , think of share the splendor of the abundant Kingdom, all without limitation. We all are welcomed because Allah Loves us all, for no other reason. All who exist have been chosen before we could even think about it. Every moment glows with the Majesty of Elohim. Shanti, Shanti echoes from one heart to the other, in the business day, at play, in the store, in the home, on the telephone. This is way better than Xanadu or Shangra La.

We apply the abundant favor each one has in our connections with each other and with Jehova everyday. Each thing we touch is anointed because of what we are filled with. Every word has the authority of The Lord , how exquisite. We forgive every transgression (whatever ‘that’ actually is), we release every chain and find our Joy central to every perception. It is glorious that we all are in sync with The Anointed One … easily and freely, we come and are received and welcome and receive each other’s spirit in every place. This is not merely possible, it is our experience. Possibility exists for that brief moment dancing across our synapses, and blooms into experience as we speak, do, and affirm. All things are possible, All things are experienced. We all have been declared righteous and heirs, we apply the magnificence of that in every day, knowing that God’s Grace is sufficient, and the desire in our heart is to everything that is beneficial, not only that which is allowable.

I choose life!

I felt shanti with Erik when he described the shrouding fog on a lake in Michagan and tody even more.

I decree peace and good will toward humanity and will continue to do so for all the days of my life in this present state of consciousness.

Also note to g8trgrl, I would like to car pool or make a bus trip with a group to D.C. for Peace. That would be super cool. It would be awesome to gather as many eagles and doves in one place as possible and support the notion of peace on earth. Eagles and doves together would be like lions and lambs together.

Peace in unity

I think I can sync yesterday's topic "all things are possible" with today's subject of making the right decisions.
I mentioned that over the weekend my computer was struck by lightning. I got all the parts yesterday that I thought were affected and installed them when I got home from work. I fought that blankety blank thing for hours trying to get it to work, but it would never boot up.
I was getting frustrated because I couldn't accomplish what I had set out to do. My daughter called me during this time and I was not rude to her but I wasn't really nice either. She hadn't done anything wrong to me, but I was allowing my behavior to be determined by the circumstance in which I was involved.
Her Majesty got home and I played the "visibly upset" game with her so she fixed her a glass of wine, got a book and sat outside and read.
So I start thinking, "Why am I letting this thing get me down?
I'm no computer expert. I believe that all things are possible, but fixing this computer is not possible for me at this point in time. Sure, I could learn how to do it, but I don't possess that knowledge right now. And the fact that I am attempting to do something that I am not capable of doing is causing me to get upset."
After realizing that, I "dogged it off" and decided to take the computer to a shop today and let somebody fix it who knows what they are doing.
So in a sense, all things are possible. The ultimate goal was to get the computer fixed, not necessarily for me to fix the computer. I will pay someone to do it which will result in the goal being accomplished, or should I say, a possibility realized, and I will decide not to let stuff bother me that is currently out of my realm of expertise. It would be just as ridiculous for me to get upset because I cannot perform brain surgery.

To Bless these hours with submissive prayer, a cautious tongue, deligent work, and compassion for others...

To sow seeds of peace, knowing that the power of one is in the power of many...

To sing a new song, dance a crazy dance, laugh out loud, smile often and speak my name with authority into the concert of sounds in the atmosphere of His creation...

To exhibit love...

Today,
I endeavor to be the best me I can be - chosen, and choosing to walk in my identity and my destiny...

DECREE of CHOICE
I Am Pro-Choice……
Pro-Choice, though strongly related to the issues of abortion and life and death of the unborn children in the United States, is also a spiritual concept FOR God’s reborn children.
Pro – meaning FOR, not against
Choice – a decision, a preference, a cognitive selection
The attitudes I embrace TODAY are choices I make. I am FOR ………making the right choices to advance the purpose of Christ in my life.
How I will perceive my circumstances is a choice. I am FOR ………. developing perception that will advance the awareness of God in my world;
How I will respond to my Perceptions is a choice. I am FOR …………allowing the holy spirit to show me, in the spirit what I perceive in the natural.
How I will react to the antecedents that formed my ideas, ideals, opinions, attitudes and perceptions is my choice. I am FOR ………..reacting with actions that will promote God’s plan FOR me TODAY.
How open or closed my mind is to new concepts and how I receive them is my choice. A mind is like a parachute; If it never opens, it can be deadly.
How much control I will allow the Holy Spirit to have TODAY is my choice FOR acknowledging God in ALL my ways, and allow him to direct my path.
Life without the Holy Spirit is like a pencil with erasers on both ends…… POINTLESS.
I am Pro Choice……. Pro choice means I am choosing Life, and life more abundantly.
TODAY I AM MAKING A CHOICE TO SAY WHAT GOD SAYS FOR MY LIFE. I AM DECREEING OVER MY LIFE ALL THE GOOD THAT GOD PLANNED FOR ME IN JEREMIAH 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you," DECREES the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
When I think about it, God is ProChoice too. He even tells us what choice we should make. The choice of LIFE
Deuteronomy 30:19
THIS DAY I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you LIFE and DEATH, blessings and curses. Now CHOOSE….. LIFE, so that YOU and YOUR CHILDREN may LIVE

I'm thinking it will be the jogging trampoline for me today. My exercise regimen took a nose-dive due to a very busy May & June, so it's time to get back on track. Got one of those 'as seen on tv' LEG MAGIC contraptions. As noted, haven't been able to use it more than a few times. Yes! I will decree that all is well with my soul and all things work together for those who love God and are called according to His purpose!

Erik- Loved your post- for one thing, I love the North Country and for another I love recreating in it! Good times.

Loved the "deep" posts from last night with much "dark" imagery, etc.

Yesterday as I was riding to Stone Mt. my car started to overheat so I had to drop it off at the Jeep place cuz it started making weird noises. So I'm thinking: did I finally blow it up, what with high mileage & all? Coincidentally across the street is the Toyota place I worked at for 3 weeks last year so I decide to look at some cars and say hey. Now normally when I used to have problems like this I would get frustrated(I feel you Donald) and serious, but I simply DECIDED to remain at peace & joyful. I proceeded to speak to several of my former work buddies and give testimony as to all the Lord is doing. Several came over and said, "so what's all the excitement about?". LIFE! That's what the excitement is about! Excitement is oozing out from my soul! God is an irresistable force...irrepressible...WANTING to be found out! There is a lot to be said for "assuming the sale" when it comes to the things of God. I have ceased from wondering "will these people receive what I have to give them"? and simply walking with the full powered light beam blazing as I go, making its own way as it plows through life.
Some may later on say that guy was nuts or weird or whatever, but you know what? God was there. God showed up. God wins. Love is irresistable, irrefutable, uncontrollable...deal with it! Ha!
(Knda felt Pastor Debye's spirit there...:) )

Let me always live before you Lord as a child...always trusting, always joyful, always loving unconditionally...

Mayam- always enjoy your posts & simple faith!

As the Charles Capps intro song used to say, "No matter what the circumstances, what I feel or see, the word is working mightily in me..."

...Let us shout joyfully...

He is exalted the King is exalted on High
I will praise You
He is exalted forever exalted
And I will praise His name

He is exalted the King is exalted on High
I will praise Him
He is exalted forever exalted
And I will praise His name

He is the Lord
Forever His truth shall reign
Heaven and Earth
Rejoice in His holy name
He is exalted the King is exalted on high

He is exalted the King is exalted on high

Amen!

Blessings, peace & joy to you today beloved!

Thought I would just share part of today's post on my blog from my quiet time today since it had to do with Hannah W. Smith whom Bishop had on here a couple of days ago.

THANKSGIVING IN TESTING

By Hannah Whitall Smith 1832–1911

No one can possibly obey the command to give thanks in everything (1 Thess. 5:18), who fails to see that all things are God’s servants (Ps. 119:91). But to those who do see this, every event of life, even the most disagreeable, is only a bearer of blessing; and as a consequence, all their days are filled with continual thanksgiving.
Perhaps some may ask why it is, if all things are indeed God’s servants, sent to bring us some message or gift, that they themselves never seem to get these gifts or messages. The answer is simply that because these gifts and messages have come to them wrapped in coarse and ugly packages, and by the hands of rough-looking messengers, they have refused to receive and open them. Their ears have been so filled with their own complainings that they could not hear God’s message, and their eyes have been so absorbed in looking at the visible suffering and hardness that they failed to look for the unseen blessing.
It is the truest common sense, therefore, to welcome every event of life as God’s servant bringing us something from Him, to overlook the disagreeableness of the messenger in the joy of the message, and to forget the hurt of the trial in the sweetness of the blessing it brings.
Paul had learned this lesson and came at last even to “take pleasure” (2 Cor. 12:10) in the “messenger of Satan” that was sent to “buffet” him (v. 7). This “thorn in the flesh” (v. 7) was the blessed revelation to his soul of the power of Christ resting on him. For the sake of a similar revelation, who would not welcome a similar thorn? (EDR, 55–57)

Peace,
Dennis

Bish (may I call you Bish? I see some others do; otherwise I'd be reluctant to be the first to be so hip),

In a previous comment, I mentioned a few things about chaos and coincidence, about making sense of our varied experiences. I'm glad you chose this verse today. Job, a rare OT favorite of mine, depicts in this passage the power of pronouncement, I think. By saying a thing, by professing it, by decreeing it, we make it a reality.

When I was a boy, my father would often rebuke me for alleging to be sick. I would go to him professing a fever, a headache, or general sickness. "Don't claim it," he would say. "Once you do that, you might as well go lie in the bed and give up."

Other times, my mother could be expressing her fears over some planned event. "We ain't gon' be able to go on vacation this year; I just know it." Dad would assuage her doubts with his dogged optimism, reminding her that he had professed it and prayed it and it would be.

He taught me to believe in the power of my faith, not just over my body, but over the events in my life. It's more than faith, though, I think. There's something akin to hypnosis in pronouncement. By verbalizing our hopes, by forming into words our plans, we shape our present and, by degrees, our future. This fits in neatly with my (and I suspect your) Buddhist leanings towards mindfulness and living in this very moment.

But why do you think our plans, through no fault of our own, when we have faith enough, sometimes fail?

Salaam,

Abraham

I DECREE:

* That I forever have the (positive) energy of a 2 year old.

* That every day is God's pulpy pinata, festooned and forged on hope's horizons.

* That George Carlin is in the Presence of a Word more colorful than a bazillion superlatives. (and he's digging it - in the best way.)

Sahib,

My favorite prayer is also a decree of creation;

"I’m taking this time to create my day and I'm infecting the quantum field. Now if, in fact, the observer is watching me the whole time that I’m doing this and there is a spiritual aspect to myself, then show me a sign today that you paid attention to any one of these things that I created, and bring them in a way that I wont expect, so I’m as surprised at my ability to be able to experience these things. And make it so that I have no doubt that its come from you."

Izumi - complete agreement about your comments, especially as they relate to George Carlin. He once said that on his tombstone, it should say, "He was here a minute ago." I don’t think God is nearly as concerned about the seven words as the network censors were.

Here's to the two year old in all of us.

What does your heart cry out for in the dead of night when it is just you and God? Does it cry for love? Does it cry for understanding? Does it cry out for meaning? Does it cry out for a deeper perception of the Being that created you? What does your heart want? Decree a thing . . .

Thanks for the comments, everyone…good stuff…

Yes, Abraham, you may call me Bish…my general answer to that question is that we co-create our destiny/lives/outcome with God…

“Now the LORD God had formed out of the ground all the wild animals and all the birds in the sky. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them; and whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name. So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds in the sky and all the wild animals.” (Genesis 2:19, 20 – TNIV)

God brought the animals to Adam “to see what he would name them”…I believe that that set a precedent in co-creation…God brings something into our lives to see what we will say about it, and whatever we say about it becomes what He says about it (“whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name”)…God spoke His worlds into existence, and we speak our world into existence…God holds all things together by the word of His power, and we hold our world together by the word of our power…there are some things that God decrees, and there are other things that we decree…the trick, if you will, is finding the balance every day between the sovereignty of God and the power of choice on our part. I do, however, believe that the ultimate act of creativity is the Creator’s creation of creators (King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Creator of creators, etc.)…in the same sense, the ultimate manifestation of sovereignty is that the Sovereign of the Universe created sovereign beings (“Let us make man in our image, and let him have dominion…”)…

Jesus said that if you believe it with your heart and say it with your mouth, it becomes a reality (Mark 11:23), but that whole process is mysterious, to say the least…do you believe it because you say it, or say it because you believe it? It’s something that I’m still figuring out…

DGM2007…I’m not sure exactly what you’re asking, but for me, I find that most spiritual conflict in my world comes from a difference of agendas on the part of the people with whom I come in contact. Generally, people have a script in their head that they, either consciously or unconsciously, want you to follow. And if you don’t follow their script, there is often conflict, or even a breakdown on their part. No doubt there is spiritual warfare that we deal with every day, but it has more to do with strongholds (mindsets, conflicting paradigms) than anything else. If there are 6 billion plus people on the planet, there are at least that many different world-views, and no one sees the world totally through someone else’s window. Unity requires empathy…I’m actually going to touch on that tonight when I minister on the “One Faith” part of “One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism”…

DBA, Dr. Joe Dispenza’s contribution to “What the Bleep Do We Know?” was my favorite part of that film. I liked what he had to say about “creating my day” a lot…

You're welcome, Bishop--how long has it been there? (--smile)

BTW, from this What the Bleep quote by Dr. Dispenza: "the more I do that, the more I build a neural net in my brain that I accept that that's possible." ['that' being consciously create my day and see the little things happen that day]

...I get a succinct way to say what I see in your "Spiritual Energy" piece.

Like soldiers receiving orders for battle we sit in your presence and lean on you for direction, guidance, and understanding. Thank You that You are working out Your plan in our lives and in the Earth. Thank You for loving us so much. Let us each day grow deeper in that love for You and for those You bring into our lives. Just an update on my trip to Alabama. The meeting I went to was in Leeds just outside of Birmingham. I kept saying to myself on the way "Where He Leeds me I will follow". Right before I got off I-20, a tractor trailer passed me that had the word "CLEMENT" written across the whole back of the trailer. I have done the labor and now the favor. I did not realize it until I got to the meeting that the reason I went was not only about Alabama, but also includes a portion of Mississippi. Thanx for being obedient this morning with what the H.S. laid on your heart.

Seriously, You need to see "What the Bleep Do We Know". Actually, there is an expanded version with the title addition; "Down the Rabbit Hole".
I saw it with my close friend, Chuck Longino.
Chuck is without doubt one of the wisest men I know. His knowledge of history, sports, politics, current events, spirituality, and much more, is to say the least...astounding.
The reason I'm saying this is because you remind me alot of him in your writings. The similarities are a compliment to you both...especially to you. Your references to TV shows, actors, authors, political persons and events and even spiritual views are similar to his.
Your latest blog comment ended with, "interconnectedness is a great thing". Well, there is no greater case in point than you and Longino. He must be your southern "soul mate".(BTW, he also loves Robert Osborne...if that means anything to you) Don't tell anyone I told you but at first people thought you were he and using Doubleback Alley as a pseudonym ...but because of company restrictions at his work he can't access the blogsite, and he has no computer at home so that couldn't be possible. If anyone would know, it would be me. If he could access the site though, it would be a hoot (and probably very enlightening) watching you two wax philosophical.
If you ever plan a trip to the deep south, let us know. It would be cool for you two to meet.
Matter of fact, I'll just go ahead and decree it.

Peace to You

Great word Bishop,
In the service tonight your analogy of how to tell a carnal minded person from a spiritual mind was their reaction to being introduced to the truth of Universal Salvation.

Basically these two reactions - Awesome that’s just wonderful! - or; So….I guess that means we can do anything we want and still be saved….. no no no SOMEBODY’S GOT TO BURN!

And the very ones you would think would have each reaction; in my experience anyway, has been the opposite of what I would have expected.

The religious crowd have given mostly carnal reactions, and the “worldly” crowd have given mostly spiritual reactions. Hummm

Enjoyed all of it tonight. I didn't want it to stop. At some point tonight something was said that reminded me of a situation many years ago where a coworker had heard that I have been born again. He told me that he would like to talk to me to make sure that I had not gotten mixed up in some false religion or doctrine. After we had talked for a little bit it was determined by him that I had in fact gotten mixed up and was being deceived by the devil and would go to hell if I did not get out of that mess and, remarkably enough start going to his church and believing what it taught. What I remember most vividly about this situation was how he initially approached me with what seemed to be a truly loving and caring concern for me. When it was determined that I had been mislead and unwilling to see things his way, there was a startling metamorphosis in his behavior. He was actually shouting before the conversation was over. Well anyway, I wish I knew then what I know now.
Wow, people who drink beer really miss the rapture? Crap!

Rev Dennis-

That Hannah Whitall Smith passage was great! Hits the nail on the head! Especially this part:

"...But to those who do see this, every event of life, even the most disagreeable, is only a bearer of blessing; and as a consequence, all their days are filled with continual thanksgiving."...

This requires a constant personal reminder on our part to acknowledge God in ALL THINGS.

As I sit here tonight in the relative ease and comfort of my home and within a body that is healthy and pondering with a mind and soul at rest and peace: "How can I possibly find an adequate way to thank you Lord for rescuing me from the abyss, from the snare of the fowler, from the very precipice of certain death...and the words slowly waft by my ear..."spend some time with Me, I want you near; come, sit and chat with Me, I like to hear your voice, come, share your heart with Me, tell Me about your day- I like to hear it from your lips- not just a report from an angel; gaze upon the beauty of the light which I AM and let My Spirit- My Prism, break the light into colors of understanding and wisdom. Your presence is thanks- you need not always speak, be still before Me and let your thoughts alone come toward Me, I hear you, My thoughts toward you are plentiful throughout your day, countless in fact, I am quite taken with you...you remind Me of Me, we are one substance after all! Lean in , take My hand and commune with ME, commune WITH Me, commune with Me..."

Commune With Me

Commune with me
Commune with me
Between the wings of the cherubim
Commune with me

I worship You
I worship You
Between the wings of the cherubim
I worship You

I'll meet You there

Hey Larry,

I love your words. They bring music to my hears. I wonder what they must be doing to God hears. What do you think?

You nailed it again Bishop. Since you came back from Israel, each Message you Preached come out of your mouth and minds with more POWER than ever before.
Something change in you. You! Yourself change.
Your are, more at eased with delivering the truth about the word, now more than ever. Not that you weren’t before. There is something different about you and about your preaching now. The passages of Ephesians you’re preaching now, exactly, the passages my sister Elizabeth said the Lord has given to her, some weeks before she gets Baptized here at CITN.
For some reason I believe this word today, one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and all. It’s like a covenant the Lord is making with us through our one Lord, one faith and our one baptism. Let us commit to God with the same kind of covenant commitment He makes with us. By expecting an higher Spiritual and material things from God.

How blessed we are to have a pastor Bishop like you. To make us laugh, yet gives us the word we need to hear from the Lord at the same times.
Thank you for who you are and all you do for us.
The word you preached truly speak to me, and I believe to all of at CITN.

ONE LORD, ONE FAITH, ONE BAPTISM, IN GOD!

Thanks Doubleback,

Your favorite prayer/decree of creation reminds me of a phone prayer session I had w/a friend in Hawaii.

Her opening statement to the Almighty was like a quantum leap of enlightenment for me. Hers was not a groveling, sniveling, "I'm not worthy" approach.

Instead, a clear, confident, affirmative: "Dear Lord, help me be a creative force in Your Universe, today."

That was over a decade ago and I can still remember shaking on the other side of the island, because of the power in assurance of her standing in God.

Anyway, that's what I thought when I first heard that prayer & read your post aloud. So, thank you.

Re: George Carlin - said when it came to God's existence, he wasn't an atheist or an agnostic. He was an acrostic - the whole thing puzzled him.

(bet you would have liked him, Bish - hehe)
