1 John 4:18

There is no fear in love [dread does not exist], but full-grown (complete, perfect) love turns fear out of doors and expels every trace of terror! For fear brings with it the thought of punishment, and [so] he who is afraid has not reached the full maturity of love [is not yet grown into love's complete perfection].

Good Early Morning / Late Night:

Jeremiah 18:1-8

"This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD: Go down to the potter's house, and there I will give you my message. So I went down to the potter's house, and I saw him working at the wheel. But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best TO HIM. Then the word of the Lord came to me: O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter does?" declares the LORD. Like clay in the hand of the potter, so are you in my hand, O house of Israel.

It was fear of the unfamiliar that drove me to leave CITN.

It was love that wooed me back with the understanding that I could take what I need and leave the rest.

This is a grateful heart.

Wow,

Love vs. Fear

I'm really excited we're continuing in this direction. The images posted today are very striking in their contrast and message. God is really up to something.

When I got home tonight and loaded up the blog I saw the peppers and thought, what a coincidence. I was planning to refer to food. Sometimes I'll be thinking and a thought will rise inside.

"I'm not going to bake a cake, until I've got all the ingredients."

Is God the master chef? Most certainly He is indeed. He is gathering together all the right pieces. He is opening them up and preparing them in perfect measure. He's kneading and cutting: blending and spicing. He's freezing and heating: smoothing and beating.

Can you smell it?

Can you smell what The Rock is cooking?

God's always makings things new. God's feeding all his sheep. He is multiplying His Spirit and their is an abundance of feastly delights.

Praise God He blows my mind!

I'm feeling a lot of anticipation over this Sunday's service. Something is cooking. I can smell it and my spirit is starting to water.

For some reason, God still has me up and online at this time of night and leading me to these different passages in my bible.

Romans: 5:5-11

"And HOPE does not disappoint us, because God has poured out HIS LOVE into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, who he has given us.

You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God DEMONSTRATED HIS OWN LOVE FOR US in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Since we have now been justified by HIS BLOOD, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through him! For if, when we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we bee SAVED THROUGH HIS LIFE! Not only is this so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have NOW received reconciliation."

Amen.

I'm reminded of Velocity's F.I.Y.A.(Fear Is Your Anticipation) from the last EP...."perfect fear will cast our your love but perfect love will cast out your fear"..didn't know that song was based off scripture....i always thought it was just something prophetic or straight from the mouth of God....kudos to Velocity...can't wait for the new tunes!

I now realize that I should have I now realize that I should have posted verses on Love also from the epistles because they have a deeper understanding of the love of God. The Spirit had not come yet to teach the truth about love before Jesus went away. Jesus said I have many things to say to you but you cannot bear them now; but when the Spirit comes..........

Rom 5:5 and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

Rom 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Rom 8:35 Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

Rom 8:39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

1Co 8:1 Now concerning things sacrificed to idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge makes arrogant, but love edifies.

1Co 13:2 If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.

1Co 13:13 But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love.

From yesterday's daily devotional I receive - pretty much sums up Bishop's last two sermons about truth and fear. God's truth ultimately prevails as He leads and guides us as He sees fit. How Great Is Our God!

Most of us have had the experience of being in possession of a piece of truth that we were afraid to share because we knew it would not be well received. There are also instances in which we ourselves have been unable to handle some truth confronting us. This might be a small truth, such as not wanting to see that our car needs repairs because we don’t want to pay for them, or a large truth, such as not fully accepting that someone close to us is pushing us away. Usually the truth is evident, and we can see it if we choose, but we have elaborate ways of hiding the truth form ourselves, no matter how apparent it is.

For the most part, we avoid the truth because it scares us, or makes us angry, or makes us feel like we don’t know what to do. We often create our lives based on a particular understanding, and if that understanding turns out to be fully or even partially incorrect, we may feel that our whole sense of reality is being threatened. It takes a strong person to face the truth in circumstances like these, and many of us run for cover instead. Nevertheless, we can only avoid the truth for so long before it begins to make itself known in ever more forceful ways.

Ultimately, there is no way to avoid the truth, no matter how painful it is, so the sooner we let down our defenses, the better. When we know the truth and accept that we may have to adjust our lives to accommodate, we are in alignment with reality. At the same time, we can be patient with people around us who have a hard time seeing the truth, because we know how painful it can be. Whatever the truth is, we make a sincere effort not to close our eyes to it, but instead to be grateful that we have access to it.

Back from vacation and catching up on the Bishop-Log. Man I've missed CITN and my CITN family and Bishops's teaching!!

The Word given Wednesday and reiterated here is, as usual, right on time. I could see my life right now as stressful with a lot of questions/issues with no apparent answers, and feel fear - but instead I'm encouraged through Bishop's teaching and the Word to trust that God is in control, let go, and just LOVE. Love my husband, my jobs, my family, my life, everything. As Scribe blogged, I'm just a lump of wet clay in the Master's hands, and I believe he will form something beautiful with me. Sometimes it's not pleasant to be shaped and molded, but I trust in the Potter.

Have a blessed Saturday!

To those who left and are looking in:
Is this tour track record? You go to a church, and it's all good, until that "something" happens that you think is the "reason" youv'e gotta "go"?

And that happens over and over and over again, church after church after church?

If that's you, give it up and come back home.

AYITN #7

Today I will renew myself with new conversation – a new way of expressing myself. Through repentance today, I will break old patterns of speech that have held me back, and today I will live in the now!"For we all often stumble and fall and offend in many things. And if any one does not offend in speech [never says the wrong things], he is a fully developed character and a perfect man, able to control his whole body and to curb his entire nature." (James 3:2 – AMP)

Father, help me to watch my words today. In Jesus’ name, amen

AND I SAID - AMEN!

Hello Lovely People,

Love is truth. It is what we are. We love , are of God, and know God. The song we often sing, “How Great is our Love” displays how everything – time, majesty, birth and completion , clothing and nakedness, exist in Love. It is the foundation of our creation, each individual, and the universe as a whole. As deep as we can go into our own darkness, as far as w can press into our own light, Love is there.

Nothing that exists can separate us from Love, it is the essence of everything. We are permitted to perceive walls, and dramatize that there is separation on a stage of our life. We can wear costumes, learn lines, and create a novel in our lives that Love is not. Some people like horror films. It is fantasy.

It is permissible to get off of that stage, run, dance, crawl, laugh and cry, look in every person and every corner to see what Love is creating there. We can look at the smallest particle, the largest star , all in between, and see the beauty . Or we can fantasize it is not there. Love always is.

It is lawful not to look at how we love ourselves, to pretend we do not love our neighbor, even fantasize we do not love God. It is not expedient.

It is also lawful to see and breathe in the reality of Love. To embrace, to entwine with Love, as Loves do. Be unique while being One. To drink in the bold Peace that passes all understanding, while picking and choosing which we will consume, knowing that we have grace for the choices we want to spit out (even if we keep eating them) , change for picking new choices to consume, and transformation to know Love in every choice. --- This, is expedient.

As usual, Erik's 1412 blog is enlightening, encouraging and eclectic and I totally dig what he is saying. There is another inspiring thought that has come to me from what has been blogged by almost everyone today and that is the idea of hope in its relationship to faith and love.

For a point of reference, the scripture mentioned by Scribe at 0123 and by Iconoclast at 0137, Romans 5: 5 reveals that hope founded on faith in Love does not disappoint us.

The word hope in modern day translation has been reduced to something wished for but not necessarily expected. The ancients, when they spoke of hope, were referring to something much more akin to faith in that they had confidence their hope would be fulfilled outside of reason.

Those who only hope as if wishing for eternal bliss over eternal punishment are indeed suffering self inflicted punishment already. We who have confidence in our Jesus know that they will be alright but our icing on the cake is that we also know we are saved to the uttermost now and forever.

Hope is good and I think faith is a little better but we all know that love is best. It seems to me though that the three of them, faith, hope and love, are inseperable.

Anon@9:11, "Ultimately, there is no way to avoid the truth, no matter how painful it is." "Whatever the truth is, we make a sincere effort not to close our eyes to it, but instead to be grateful that we have access to it." Amen.

Like the canaries that miners employed to help them know a dangerous gas has appeared, pain can actually be a useful indicator(deadly for the canary, but the miner lives!). Similarly, alerted by and paying attention to pain that a truth reveals can help expose deadly/disfiguring/entrapping/limiting beliefs or perceptions.

Trusting(Faith) that God has it all in His hands
Trusting(Hope)that the removal of the belief or perception will be good
and Trusting Love probably set up the trip and plans to exceed ANY need makes walking out of the cave ALIVE worth every lost canary.

On fear brings "the thought" of punishment--I remember watching my brother take his punishments because he thought whatever freedom he had taken was worth it. Thinking on it now, I think he always knew he was loved. Punishment was just punishment-discipline, not the removal of love, so he just took it. There's a lot of strength in that position.

Just dropped in to see what condition my condition my condition was in...

Hey everyOne...we, being many, are One in the Lord, the Body, the Bride.

Where do we go? Where do we go now?...waiting on the Lord...

Fear is a selfish indulgence intended to take our eyes off God...focusing on our inadequacies in the flesh rather than the omnipotence of the Lord.
Where do our allegiances lie? In own abilities, in ourselves, or in the Arm of God? I find myself woefully lacking to extricate myself from the morass of this world and needfully fall down before the Lord and plead for Mercy and Grace on a regular basis.
Where is our help save the Lord?
Our help is in you Lord.
Our strength is in you Lord.

...I was there when they crucified my Lord
I held the scabbard when the soldier drew his sword
I threw the dice when they pierced his side
But I've seen love conquer the great divide

"When love comes to town I'm gonna catch that train
When love comes to town I'm gonna catch that flame
Maybe I was wrong to ever let you down
But I did what I did before love came to town...

several verses from "When Love Comes to Town" by B.B. King

"The power of love is a curious thing
Make a one man weep, make another man sing
Change a hawk to a little white dove
More than a feeling thats the power of love

Tougher than diamonds, rich like cream
Stronger and harder than a bad girls dream
Make a bad one good make a wrong one right
Power of love that keeps you home at night

You dont need money, dont take fame
Dont need no credit card to ride this train
Its strong and its sudden and its cruel sometimes
But it might just save your life
Thats the power of love
Thats the power of love

First time you feel it, it might make you sad
Next time you feel it it might make you mad
But youll be glad baby when you've found
Thats the power makes the world go round

And it dont take money, dont take fame
Dont need no credit card to ride this train
Its strong and its sudden it can be cruel sometimes
But it might just save your life

They say that all in love is fair
Yeah, but you dont care
But you know what to do
When it gets hold of you
And with a little help from above
You feel the power of love
You feel the power of love
Can you feel it ?

It dont take money and it dont take fame
Dont need no credit card to ride this train
Tougher than diamonds and stronger than steel
You wont feel nothin till you feel
You feel the power, just the power of love
Thats the power, thats the power of love
You feel the power of love
You feel the power of love
Feel the power of love."

Peace out...

The love of God is greater far
Than tongue or pen can ever tell
It goes beyond the highest star
And reaches to the lowest hell;
The guilty pair, bowed down with care,
God gave His Son to win;
His erring child He reconciled,
And pardoned from His sin

Oh, love of God, how rich and pure!
How measureless and strong!
It shall forevermore endure-
The saints' and angels' song.
