Peace Blessing II

Hey bloggers,

Today is 8/8/08 (new beginnings X 3)...Happy Birthday, Jared (yeah, we finally heard from him). As most of you know, we're in Washington for the GPF...all is well...very exciting things happening here (Debye did great in her interview on the local ABC news last night)...thanks for the support and words of encouragement...I (we) feel your presence here with us...our unity is real!

Today's AYITN is this:

CHILL OUT!

"Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully."
(1 Peter 5:7 – AMP)

"Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you;
He shall never permit the righteous to be moved." (Psalm 55:22)

"Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." (John 14:27)

"Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. And God's peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus."
(Philippians 4:6, 7 – AMP)

Today I will live in the now! I will live in the now because I believe the word of God that tells me that I possess supernatural peace, given to me by Jesus Himself – in fact, it is actually His own, personal peace that He desires to share with me!

(I speak a blessing of peace over you again today...you have the peace of Christ...the peace that enabled Him to sleep in a boat during a terrible storm...you have that ability today, regardless of how violent your personal storm is right now...)

Today I will not worry about tomorrow. The Kingdom is in the NOW (Matthew 6:33, 34).

(By faith I call your mind into the now...the peace of God causes you to enjoy the awesome beauty of this day, without any distraction concerning the worries of tomorrow...you have nothing to dread...you have nothing to fear...)

Today I will relax, casting all of my care on Him.

(Let not your heart be troubled...no regrets...no worries...you are loved...you are forgiven...you have favor with God and man...it's a beautiful day in the neighborhood...)

Today I will believe I receive when I pray. I can't worry and believe at the same time.

(Be at peace in your prayer life...the peace of God under girds your faith to make you realize that you are stronger than you think you are!)

Today I will let go of the stress and pressure. The government is on Jesus' shoulder.

(I speak the peace that drives out stress to you...)

Today I will respond to whatever comes my way with these three words: "It's all good!" God is perfecting that which concerns me so I know that everything will always, ultimately, turn out all right with His help.

(Peace to you...IT'S ALL GOOD...peace to your heart...IT'S ALL GOD!!!)

Today I will choose the good part and sit down with "laid-back Mary" at the feet of Jesus, instead of working up a sweat in the kitchen trying to help "stressed-out Martha" get her dinner ready! I don't have to worry about preparing a meal because Jesus is the Bread of Life – the Manna from Heaven! Today I will walk in the peace that passes understanding, and today I will live in the now!

(Don't feel overwhelmed by today's responsibilities...you'll get it all done...the peace of God helps you manage your time...decide right now to walk in peace, and you'll have a great day...)

Father, help me to keep it all in perspective today. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Check back later today...I may or may not have more...

Thanks for the heads up about the GPF stream online Anon. I will be watching.

Also, I want to let everyone know that the Olympic opening ceremonies are NOT going to be telecast live today at 7:30 am. However, they will be in High Def on NBC tonight night starting at 7:30 and lasting 4 hrs. Tivo for commercial free enjoyment ;).

I wouldn't have really mentioned it, but from what I've been reading it's supposed to be a show like nothing we have ever seen in our lifetimes. The Chinese invented fireworks and I guess they want to leave the world breathless with their presentation. No expense will be spared. Details of the event remain secret, but it will feature 15,000 performers and 29,000 firework shells. The entire spectacle in under the guidance of the film director, Zhang Yimou.

We shall see.

Some comments I've read from some people who watched the rehearsals.

"It is the most visually spectacular Olympic opening ceremony, winter or summer, I've ever seen in my life."

"pulled off a cinematic, stadium
extravaganza. There's just a feast for the eyes everywhere. From the
floor of the stadium to the heights of the stadium, everything is part
of his visual show. I've never seen anything like it."

Global Peace Festival & Olympic Opening Cermonies!

Enjoy Everyone!

Give peace a chance.

Nothing to lose.

SOZ you're not talking about THE Zhang Yimou are you? Just kidding, never heard of him.

Just reading the post about peace made me feel more relaxed. Does anyone know if there have been any studies conducted to check physiological responses on people based on different types of reading materials?

Happy birthday Jared,

You are a wise man.

Your soul has already learned that it is best satisfied when you are doing something good for those who are the least in the kingdom.

Your wealth and fame are wonderful vehicles that you steer toward the greater glory of your destiny.

I hope you have an opportunity today to reflect on many of the good things in your life.

Be blessed Brother

I love the Olympic games. Saw something on the Today show yesterday, don't know if it has anything to do with opening ceremonies. I think it is a production that is being done a couple of hours away. Maybe they're using parts of it... don't know... but it was STUNNING!

As I am posting this there are 8 comments so far today.....
Today’s date being 8/8/08 is very interesting to me.

The bible is also actually a very complex math book as I have found in my studies. Both old and new testaments are written in languages with alphanumeric values. Our Father ordained two alphanumeric languages, Hebrew and Greek, to convey His thoughts.

1 is the number of beginning – 7 is the number of completion or perfection so 8 would be a beginning of perfection or completion. Or a “new beginning”.

Jesus was raised on the 8th day which was the beginning of a new age.

In the Old and New Testaments of the Bible, each character of text was given a corresponding number. When words, phrases or parables were put together, they added up to complex numbers. The study of this numbering system is known as "Gematria" in the ancient Greek. The Hebrew text has the same concept, however there is no Hebrew "word" describing this process.

The Gematria of the name JESUS in Greek is =IESOUS=888 (Iota=10 + Eta=8 + Sigma=200 + Omicron=70 + Upsilon=400 + Sigma=200)

Many of the names in the NT associated with Jesus are multiples of 8.
Lord = 800 = 8 x 100
Jesus = 888 = 8 x 111
Christ = 1,480 = 8 x 185
Savior = 1,408 = 8 x 176
Messiah = 656 = 8 X 82

ALSO:
The founder = 888
I am the life = 888
Thou Lord are exalted forever = 888 Ps 92:8
Salvation of our God = 888 Isa. 52:10
Behold a virgin shall conceive and bear a son and they will call his name Emmanuel which being interpreted is God with us. = 8880
Mat. 1:23
BTW “Emanuel” = 197 and it just so happens that the earth measured as a smooth surface at a mean diameter or 7920 miles comes out to be 197 million square miles!

“I am Jehovah I change not” = 888 Mal. 3:6

The symbol for infinity (everlasting life) is the number 8 laid on its side ( I don’t think my keyboard does this)

I will stop before I bore you all to death - but this Gematria stuff is very interesting to me. There is WAY MORE to it than just the name of Jesus; it actually proves numerically how it was always Gods plan to restore the whole earth and all of creation.

I have learned much of this through several books I have by Bonnie Gaunt. She is a mathematical genius and lives only about three hours from here over in Mountain Home Arkansas.

Anyway I just thought the date and all this and the Global peace festival may have some significance. There are actually some groups that are expecting something big on or after this date……we will see!

God Bless All

Hey bloggers,

I'm in between meetings, about to leave the Sheraton where we had a morning planning session, now going to the Hyatt to have a inter-faith dialogue with religious leaders from the DC area...I'm on a computer in the hotel lobby, and on this one the GPF video isn't showing...just a blank space...I'm curious to know if it's that way on the site, or if it's just not downloading on this monitor...anyone online right now?

And it looks like the peace slideshow posted yesterday isn't showing, either...someone let me know if it is or isn't showing up on your computer so I can see about it...thanks

Happy Birthday, Jared--what a cool year for all your "numbers" to line up!

THANKS, SOZ! Will set the Tivo asap. Was it Greece when the Olympic flame was shot through the air by an archer? That one was simple but wow--what a memorable, inspiring jaw-dropper. I wonder what that guy has done with his life since then?

Donald, you make me laugh and think at the same time. I'm thinkin' CITN is the study you mentioned.

JB, "seek to know about what can be revealed concerning perfect Love"--very cool thought! Not may, not might, but what is able to be revealed. Now that's some fireworks to think about!!

Bishop, re: BITN, great news! A great journey begins with a single step.

Icon,

You might want to delete that portion in one of your you-tube videos where you say, "Now I'm not an educated man". Pule-ease.

I also have a sense that today is a very significant day: 8/8/8. Their is a lot going on in the natural and in the Spirit today. I don't know if any of you have been watching the news, but Russia has initiated military strikes in recent hours to retake the breakaway province of South Ossetia in Georgia. Air strikes and 150 Russian tanks have moved in and casualties are estimated at 1.500 military and civilian. Russia's long term interest is in regaining all 15 breakaway Republics. Georgia, a staunch U.S. ally, has angered Russia by seeking NATO membership. A bid Moscow regards as part of a Western effort to weaken its influence in the region. This area is also a chief oil transportation route. So keep these matters in your prayers CITN.

I've always believed that as the darkness increases, the light will shine that much brighter. Shine that light Global Peace Festival! Shine that light CITN! The world needs it.

We are all One. One day that will be made known, and visible, a recognized reality in all things. Today, in this life, we have the great opportunity and responsibility to live in this knowledge and this Love now. Father has so much He wants to share with us in this life. Now is such an awesome opportunity to share in our Lord's ministry. We are ambassadors of Christ and today we will bring our light unto a dark place. Today you will be an extension of His Love. Sons and daughters of God, realize our place in the Kingdom. Set the captives free.

SHINE!

LOVE!

SHINE!

LOVE!

SHINE!

SHINE!

Everybody join a hand
Everybody lift your voice and sing
Everybody take a stand
We've come together
As one nation under praise

I pledge allegiance
To the One who reignes
That no matter what - tomorrow brings
I will rise with a mighty voice and say
I'm not ashamed to be
One nation under praise

Hello Everyone,

After reading the post and comments, I just wanted to take a moment to wish you all the 'peace that passes understanding'.

I took a few hours outside in the front yard today. The canopy of long oak leaves above, I sat on the bed of sparse grass while the ants and other creatures in the minutiae below my bare legs and feet climbed through the shadows cast by the late afternoon Georgia sun. Soon the bolder ants were on me, searching this new territory for sustenance. At first apprehensive of their barely perceptible presence, I accepted them in placidity as part of the landscape, my distant relatives with whom I share a common ancestor, then realized in a moment of peace, I too am part of this dirt, these trees, this air, this land that gave me life for so many years.

It's good to be home.

Salaam,

Abraham (A Georgia Son)

PEACE Expressed Holy Spirit in All Splendor in the Opening Ceremonies in Beijing.

The beauty, grace, creativity, simple awe of how wonderfully God has crafted humans. The Anointed One breathing , waving to the world in each face, and in one heart.

God expresses through each one, receives through each one of us and we share ourselves and God between all of us, each one connected to every other. God is truly within each, combined in all, and unique in you.

Praise God !! It is completely credible, believable, beautiful, outrageously expected. Yes, and Thank You.

Perfect Love Casts Out Fear....

He led them up a high mountain by themselves. There he was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light.

A bright cloud enveloped them, and a voice from the cloud said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with Him I am well pleased. Listen to Him!"

Jesus came and touched them. "Get up," He said. "Don't be afraid." When they looked up, they saw no one except Jesus.

Perfect Love Casts Out Fear....

"If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me", Peter replied: "Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head".

Perfect Love Casts Out Fear....

"And upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he was Jesus the Christ.

Perfect Love Casts Out Fear....

After breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?"

"Yes, Master, you know I love you."

Jesus said, "Feed my lambs."

He then asked a second time, "Simon, son of John, do you love me?"

"Yes, Master, you know I love you."

Jesus said, "Shepherd my sheep."

Then he said it a third time: "Simon, son of John, do you love me?"

Peter was upset that he asked for the third time, "Do you love me?" so he answered, "Master, you know everything there is to know. You've got to know that I love you."

Perfect Love Casts Out Fear....

Through the work of the apostles, many God-signs were set up among the people, many wonderful things done. They all met regularly and in remarkable harmony on the Temple porch named after Solomon. But even though people admired them a lot, outsiders were wary about joining them. On the other hand, those who put their trust in the Master were added right and left, men and women both. They even carried the sick out into the streets and laid them on stretchers and bedrolls, hoping they would be touched by Peter's shadow when he walked by. They came from the villages surrounding Jerusalem, throngs of them, bringing the sick and bedeviled. And they all were healed.

Perfect Love Casts Out Fear....

Jesus said, "Feed my sheep. I'm telling you the very truth now: When you were young you dressed yourself and went wherever you wished, but when you get old you'll have to stretch out your hands while someone else dresses you and takes you where you don't want to go." He said this to hint at the kind of death by which Peter would glorify God. And then he commanded, "Follow me."

Perfect Love Casts Out Fear....

Turning his head, Peter noticed the disciple Jesus loved following right behind. When Peter noticed him, he asked Jesus, "Master, what's going to happen to him?"

Jesus said, "If I want him to live until I come again, what's that to you? You—follow me."

Perfect Love Casts Out Fear....

“Don’t be afraid,” he said.

“Take courage. I am here!”

Then Peter called to him, “Lord, if it’s really you, tell me to come to you, walking on the water.”

“Yes, come,” Jesus said

“Save me, Lord!” he shouted.

Jesus immediately reached out and grabbed him.

“You really are the Son of God!”
