Worship Allows Revelation Because Of (the) Spirit

I almost don't even know what to write, this week has just been awesome. I can't wait until tonight because I know its going to be the icing on the cake. Bishop, i wish i could tell you all that has transpired just this week for me and my family but I yet have not wrapped my mind around it. A twenty year dream now on the horizon, God is really showing out now. Last night I didn't see the buckets out for the offering and I was thinking man where are they I can't come in here without giving my God an offering and before I could finish the words you said bring the buckets somebody may want to give, was the spirit flowing or what. I'm convinced.

In light of our worship music last night, this quote is quite fitting, I think:

"Do you know what the "point" of it all is?
This whole contraption of time and space was designed and engineered to scientifically prove that you are endowed with all you need, to have all you want.

Everything else is just fluff."

The prayers are availing much.

Our direction has been defined. The provisions are all in place. CITN, from its first day was designed to go the distance. From where we are, if we look back to where we came from, we know we've got what it takes to get the job done. Our Captain has a direct link to the Commander in Chief, who will direct us should any storms get out of hand. We're good to go. We'll keep moving forward. Full steam ahead.

I brought two with me last night. They felt different as soon as the walked inside the sanctuary. They kept asking what it was. I didn't say much. I just walked to the front and stood there and prayed and let God tell them what it was.

Tonight will be as though we are being hit by a giant Tsunami. Just let go to the flow.

A prophet of Jesus the Christ must acknowledge they are a mystic or else they are false in every way. Jesus, who was God, came to be with us and gave gifts to us that we might know our purpose. That purpose is to live and attain to perfect love. There have been some remarkable achievements in this area by many individuals such as Saint Francis, Mother Teresa, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and others whose names are only known by those in their particular sphere of influence.

A characteristic of these type people is that there are many amazing miracles associated with them and their legacy is referred to often in the most favorable kind of language. They seem to have made a permanent impression in the collective mind of those who know they are called according to the purpose of the Creator.

We see them in ourselves when we feel that we have acted similar to them on occasions and it is peace to our soul when others notice those actions.

I pray that our newly elected President along with many of his team members will be viewed in this manner with time and all that cast their vote for him will be happy for their choice. An observation that I’ve heard and perceived by listening to others and reading his books is that he applies the wisdom of safety in the council of many. In that case he will probably not choose a single individual as a presidential Chaplin for spiritual council but instead seek that type guidance from a cross section of ministers who he has some type of common agreement with. It is certainly my prayer that our own Bishop Swilley will be among them. There could not be a better choice of someone who has much in common with President elect Obama than Bishop Jim.

Bishop’s teaching Wednesday night is right on target with the idea of positive changes for our country. How could we do any better than to rewrite many of those things that have caused human pain and create a new memory of a nation that has proven its submission to our benevolent Creator by living up to its own ideals.

We have entered a new age of sincere worship being offered to the God Who has proven Love by giving gifts to the created that enable us to live in a sure hope of attaining to that same perfection.

This particular time in the history of man is far more pivotal to the day, than most of us are aware of, when peace will be realized on this planet and we each will care for the other as though we are caring for the God Who is Love.

Hope to be ITB for prayer tonight.

JB, beautiful post, I set my heart in agreement with your word about the Chaplaincy. !! and with yours anon@2:05

wordver: suricl
I felt impressed to google this word. Haven't figured out what language it appears in, but Wiki says "suriEl" is one the four holy archangels. Suriel means "God's command".

I love the pyramid praying hands. If I were the baby...I'd feel sooooo protected! And the limited playlist is very "focused" and "focusing". Thank you, Bishop.

2nd wordver: chwori...interesting the Chwori Bazar is in India. Hmmm.

Bishop,
What a cool rendition of 'pass it on' that I just heard here...it reminds me to be thankful for all the weeks of camp and campfires growing up and as a teenager...the starry nights, counselors on guitar, the flaming marshmallows, the girls on the other side, bunk beds in the cabin, line-up by the flagpole, and creative marching songs.

It really took me back and made me thankful to God for using those times and moments to sow so many good and positive things into my life!

I pray that we can do the same for our youth today.

Blessings and joy to you today and to all bloggers, and blurkers, too.

My word ver is: omsis, and makes me think of the word OSMOSIS.
I believe there probably is a spiritual parallel or revelation to be seen through most scientific knowledge, but especially those things within the human body because we are the crowning work of His creation.
I got this from the Wiktionary which states:

The net movement of solvent molecules from a region of high solvent potential to a region of lower solvent potential through a partially permeable membrane
(slang) Picking up knowledge accidentally, without actually seeking that particular knowledge.
I was reading about chickens, and I guess I learned about hawks through osmosis.

Osmosis provides the primary means by which water is transported into and out of cells.

...may the living water from God's throne flow beatifully in and out of us today.

Peace be within your walls, Jerusalem...and within you CITN...as the bricks and mortar are joined together to build your city, may the body of Christ today be joined together in peace.

And now this by Cat Stevens (Yusuf);

Now I've been happy lately,
thinking about the good things to come
And I believe it could be,
something good has begun

Oh I've been smiling lately,
dreaming about the world as one
And I believe it could be,
some day it's going to come

Cause out on the edge of darkness,
there rides a peace train
Oh peace train take this country,
come take me home again

Now I've been smiling lately,
thinking about the good things to come
And I believe it could be,
something good has begun

Oh peace train sounding louder
Glide on the peace train
Come on now peace train
Yes, peace train holy roller

Everyone jump upon the peace train
Come on now peace train

Get your bags together,
go bring your good friends too
Cause it's getting nearer,
it soon will be with you

Now come and join the living,
it's not so far from you
And it's getting nearer,
soon it will all be true

Now I've been crying lately,
thinking about the world as it is
Why must we go on hating,
why can't we live in bliss

Cause out on the edge of darkness,
there rides a peace train
Oh peace train take this country,
come take me home again

What a wonderful ending for a new beginning. Friday night of the week of prayer for 2009.

Miracles, peace and love to us all.

This has been such an incredible week it's almost too holy to speak about!! But seriously I think we need to have something like this instead of Friday intercession an early Monday morning intercession or a late Sunday night intercession to kick the work week off right...

Just a thought Bish....

Leaving for school Sunday afternoon...it's soooo time to get back into a routine!!

Sounds like its been a grand week in Conyers.

We just got back from watching Gran Torino. I saw so many spiritual parallels in that movie that I lost count.

Go see it!

veriword - spookess

My first thought on this was getting a big sloppy wet kiss from the Holy Ghost.

Last night was the first time I heard that song, must give kudos to Judah and all who collaborated on that.

This morning my thoughts have been directed to the appeal for love that seems to be inherent among humans. We sing songs like the one Judah sang last night and say things like we love God because He first loved us.

Most of us quickly recognize the appeal for attention being made by a child as a request for affirmation in some way and respond to that with a hug or in most cases a smile. When those interactions happen we usually feel the joy of the child's spirit, often seen in the smile or some other communication, that tells us they are comforted. Avatar's comment on the comfort of the child's praying hands is revelent here.

One of the most beautiful things that came to me last night was when Bishop, near the close of service while standing on the stage laid his hands on the head of a Pastor who is well loved in the congregation. I do not call the name of this person out of sensitivity for what was transferred and recieved in the Spirit to spirit communication that occurred and it is also clear that Pastor was all Pastors in this case.

During the course of this wonderful prayer there was much more happening than was seen by the human eye. As the human love was reciprocated it was quickly overshadowed by the Holy Ghost who filled the room with overflowing perfect Love. It felt to me like that Pastor was dispersing what was flowing through them to all that were receptive as though God was giving to all that recieved.

That was not just apparent to me but the witness of peace on the faces of those around me following that told me that many others also recieved the overflow of Agape.

I pray that all who missed any or all of these meetings get a proportional sloppy wet kiss to make up for what they missed.
