MITN - thank you, Bish.

Already love the imagery. I've probably read this chapter a bazillion times (or, at least twice) before "seeing" God sitting beside Himself (living Waters).

What happened when He was alone with His thoughts? Did they all pool together; form oceans? Beautiful.

3. Didactic allegories - oh wow. My cartoon balloon just morphed into flying pterodactyls. Wonder why. (seems some of my seed thoughts go that far back - gotta shake the Etch-a-Sketch)

I wade to the next verses. Nine is fascinating, too. I've been taught that spiritual lessons weren't always formulaic. But, how I wonder (listen, perceive, discern, comprehend). I apply this to the disciples' inquiry. Those closest to Rabboni asked something significant. Why?!

By verse 11, I can almost hear Abba's Voice - patient and indulgent, explaining heaven's mysteries. The Eucharist, Himself, maybe.

And so, I scroll allll the way to the top & re-read, trying to perceive, discern, comprehend - apprehend Him.

* A day
* A man
* A beach
* Simple silence
* Still waters
* A gathering
* A teaching
* A road
* A rock
* Some seed
* A scattering
* Some intense sun
* Some good soil
* Some deep soil
* Root system
* An anchor
* Nourishment
* Production & re-production
* Some healthy grain
* Some thorns
* Exponential yield
* A gatherer
* Yet

Ahh... some kind of Wonderful. Yes, He is.

Bish, I enjoyed this new addition to MITN. "deep soil" jumped out at me. What is this life would cause so me of our soil to be "shallow, no root systems" and some soil to be soil. My spiritual ears hear that our faith, our belief, our steadfastness, our words (that a good one), our attitude, our love would cause one's soil to be deep in order to receive the 100 fold return. Soil that is so "deep" reminds me of a adage that Maya Angelou wrote about a woman's heart which is "A woman's heart needs to be so hidden in Christ that a man has to go to God to find her." ~ I am paraphasing and may have gotten some of this wrong but I think for my purposes here, the point was made.

Our soil ought to be so deep in Christ that when the word is sown there are great crops apparent as a result, Harvest time.

Izumi/Joy you are just so clever or you possess the mind of Christ. I just love reading your interesting responses. Thank you for your thoughts

Enjoyed the entry on MITN. I've always loved this chapter in relation to sowing. There is some rural farmer genes in my being as well as some rural farmer jeans hanging in my closet.

I got my garden spot busted up and some rows all tilled and plowed for plantin time. Its in a much better spot to catch the sun this year so tell P. Debey that I won't have to be so stingy with the t words. BTW last year I hung a bag with some of my first t words and some basil on your back door knob but I never mentioned it because they were sorta puny. My planting strategy was a bit off last season but you can bet your sweet bippie that this years gonna be difrant.

The soil is all prepared to let the roots grow deep, the rows are dug down to hold the rain water (and that parts working fine right now), the garden spot is in the best place for sunshine to provide optimal wellness of the leaf and I even threw in some chicken stuff for good measure. Lookin for an outstanding crop of t words this year.

This is absolutly too funny! My veriword is tommorke.

Because I am a now person, for the most part, that can't relate to tommorrow so it must be prophetic concerning the monster t words that will be coming out of my garden this year.

There seems to be no one around today. Guess I'll just go to Kroger and get something or maybe I won't and just say that I did..

We are all One. God is in every one of us, each is the unique expression of God , every single one. There is no condemnation back to the foundation. We can choose fear, bitterness, hatred, resentment, self loathing and limitation. We can choose Love, Edifying, Peace, Forgiveness, Self Love (which is also Loving God and Loving Our neighbor).

Everything we express outward, comes from within us. From our perception, and from the unique impartation to us from The Spirit. We can limit what we express from The Spirit. However, whatever we do express exists in our soul first, before we can put it outward, and what exists there is us.

If we are bitter, we are first bitter of ourselves. If we hate, we first hate ourselves ( which is also hating God) . If we demean others, we first demean ourselves. If we resent others, we first resent ourselves. Actually, how we treat God and others, is how we truly see ourselves. If we express Love, we Love ourselves.

In Vino Veritas , aka , as we treat others we share the truth of ourselves, In expression Veritas.

If we express Love, we Love ourselves and God. If we express Peace and Forgiveness, we are at Peace and Forgive Ourselves, and God. Forgive God? Yes, we accept the assured acceptance with God, knowing God has not created Us only to fail, but to be God’s masterpiece.

All of it is permitted by God, who Loves us just the same. We have free will, and we are completely free. There is benefit in our experience to focus on God’s Love, Forgiveness, Support, Peace, Meekness, Service (Servant King & Queen), however, even if we do not, God’s enthrallment with us, and ours with God remains complete. It is just more fun to walk in the enthrallment, rather than hide from it. - See walking in the cool of the day vs. Adam’s rock.

Dreamer- on Saturdays it's not too hard to take over!
Trip to mtn was cool-watched as bands of rain slowly paced over the expanse between downtown and me. Looked up into the sky and practiced dodging the raindrops as they came down-extreme focus exercise-great speeds required!

Erik- well said Bro!

word ver: CHOTIOGI- "Yah, I was at Yankees Stadium last year with my camera and got a "Chotiogi" throwing out the first pitch!(baseball fans only!)

What do insects do before playing poker?
They "ante" up!

What insects are always freeloading at your house?
"Depend-ants"

The other morning my friend threw a stick of margerine at me and I thought I saw the butter fly!?!

Anyone else have some awful jokes to tell? I can go on for hours like this! SOMEBODY STOP ME!!!

I was told to stop telling "black & white" jokes because they were "off-color"!

Where do trees go to on the west coast?
Oakland.

RIP Paul Harvey!

Larry Usher said...

Paul Harvey, the news commentator and talk-radio pioneer whose staccato style made him one of the nation's most familiar voices, died Saturday in Arizona, according to ABC Radio Networks. He was 90.

Harvey died surrounded by family at a hospital in Phoenix, where he had a winter home, said Louis Adams, a spokesman for ABC Radio Networks, where Harvey worked for more than 50 years. No cause of death was immediately available.

Harvey had been forced off the air for several months in 2001 because of a virus that weakened a vocal cord. But he returned to work in Chicago and was still active as he passed his 90th birthday. His death comes less than a year after that of his wife and longtime producer, Lynne.

"Good day!" Welcome into your rest sir!

Ramsey's produce on Usher Street in Covington does come from a farmer's market but they said the produce is from the farmer's market in Forest Park.

The produce there is less expensive than the supermarkets and very fresh. They appear to be nice quiet Christian guys, good customer service. That was very close Pastor Debye and pretty much the same thing.

I think it is important to buy local and keep the money in our local economy. And the customer service is good.

Welcome Izumi/Joy. The email was great as well, thanks.
