Greetings from Uganda!

Hey bloggers...those of you who are Facebook friends and Twitter followers already know that we're here in "The Pearl of Africa"....the trip was basically perfect, except for the fact that our bags haven't found us yet...we got the owner of the hotel gift shop to open up the store so that we could get some things to improvise with until our stuff gets here...meetings in both Jinja and Kampala start in just a few hours...obviously, we have wi-fi in the hotel, so I'll be communicating with you as much as I can...when you see the Ugandan flag over there on the spinning globe you'll know that it's probably one of us online...

I re-posted the slideshow pics of last year's trip so that you'll have an idea of what we're doing this week...

Thanks for the good feedback here and on FB and Twitter about last Sunday...I'd love to hear some more of it...

Peace to all...

Hello Everyone,

Want to say Thank You to Bishop and all of CITN and all from The Cathedral of The Holy Spirit for the excellent experience Sunday. That fed into all of us coming to Uganda, filtering through each of us to express here. Pastor Chad said as we were loading the bags into the bus for the airport, that we were packing up what we partook in Sunday to deliver here. Amen to that !!!!!

I have got to say Sunday was an experience that is one of the reasons I came to CITN, moved to Conyers from San Fran to be here almost 9 years ago. All of it has been good, and many times of excellence, like Sunday. Although I couldn’t have told anyone exactly what I was looking to experience at CITN to move here, Sunday was clearly one of the reasons. There have been many others, but if it was only this last Sunday, the move and 9 years would have been worth it alone.

Witnessing that, and being there, and so quickly after , here in Uganda, and the many times with CITN and how I have experienced what I, (we all) know to be true really is, and Bishop with fire in his bones ---- is like Snoopy’s ‘ Happy Dance’

I thank God for the favor to be a part of it, a grape in the wine press for excellent drinking, the best for last.

Man, technology is so wonderful, being able to hear from you as you take this mission. I don't know of any other Pastor that would care enough to keep us updated with information as you do,I just love it. I wish I could be there but I have to get the old immune system up. I feel like I am there as I am able to get messages from you as if you were next door. Hate your luggage got lost but as you said all is good.

I am still basking in the glow of Sunday. As I walked in the door I saw an old friend from my association with Catheral, she was a greeter, couldn't believe it. I have always loved to hear your Aunt play and she played so beautiful, just as I remembered.

Those that missed Sunday sure missed a great blessing, but I'm glad I was ITB and I'm in great expectations of only bigger things happening. Looking forward to Sunday.

Blessings to the team as they do the work of the Lord in the mission field.

I was in a meeting today where we were discussing how to resolve some engineering issues that I had brought to the attention of one of the project managers at our company.
It was a productive meeting and we actually reached a resolution to the problem without any bloodshed.
As the meeting was adjourning, the VP over the engineering department commented on how much he enjoyed working at our company because we have quality people who can sit down together and get things figured out without everyone trying to make sure that their side wins.
That made me think about the sense of agreement that I was seeing as I streamed Sunday morning's service where the two congregations were meeting as one.
Yeah, it is a good thing when people can come together in agreement.

You had it right by just throwing some stuff in the bags and improvising the rest when you got there. You were already prepared for something like this. Prophecy I tell you! Prophecy! Enjoy and grow

Oh man!!! I LOVE technology!!! I got to experience that AWESOME service on Sunday at my home in Houston. But what I woulda given to be there in person?! Clearly I am going to have to find out how much Southwest charges to fly in for a service.
And NOW, we get to keep up with what's going on in Africa. This is so cool! Bishop, I am praying for you and the folks there. Excited for what ya'll are going to experience and share with us!Keep the tweets and the blogs coming as best you can. I am keeping up with you and praying for you frequently!!
