Other Stuff I Posted on Facebook...

Don't ask, but I could use words like "intense" or "surreal" 2 describe my day 2day...but God's peace is real...I do want 2 say 2 u who may b having ur own strange day, just do ur best...that's all u can do...n ur weakness He's made strong... remember that while "giving up" may b a sign of weakness, "letting go" is generally a sign of strength...don't get those 2 things confused...the sun will come out tomorrow...

Realize how valuable & important u r...n the words of the inimitable Staple Singers, "If u don't respect urself, ain't nobody gonna give a good cahoot, na na na na..."...truer words were never spoken...ur the 'head & not the tail, above only & not beneath'...don't forget it...know it within yourself...don't wait for someone to come along & convince u of it...b good 2 u...u r God's masterpiece (Eph 2:10, NLT)...

Did a funeral last night (really hard 1 to do) & another 1 this afternoon...always reminds me of how important it is 2 make every day count, 'cause it all goes by really fast...also makes me want 2 tell everyone 2 end every conversation well, & don't let the sun go down on ur wrath...u never know when ur words with some1 r going 2 b the last u share with them...don't want 2 bring the room down...I'm just sayin'...

Somewhere I read, "When you feel like giving up, remember why you held on for so long in the first place"...I probably say this too much, but, again, you are indeed made out of good stuff, and are stronger than you think you are...you've weathered storms before, and this one, too, will pass...just be still and know that He is God...

Nike has sold millions of pairs of shoes with a powerful yet simple, 3-word ad: JUST DO IT... whatever u've been putting off or dreading, just go ahead & deal with it 2day...stop making excuses...stop being afraid...David ultimately ran 2ward the giant because there was no turning back 4 him...no way 2 run away...God has not given u a spirit of intimidation, but of power, love & of a sound mind...what r u waiting 4?

This may require some effort on ur part 2day, depending on what's going on with u...but whatever happens, don't assume the worst...give someone the benefit of the doubt...believe 4 the best...don't let someone else's negative words get nside ur head...resist cynicism...& remember that things r rarely as bad as they may 1st appear...give urself permission 2 just njoy the day, even if u don't have it all figured out...

Bishop, Thank you,

Perfect for today.

Your words –‘ "When you feel like giving up, remember why you held on for so long in the first place"... And – ‘God has not given u a spirit of intimidation, but of power, love & of a sound mind...what r u waiting 4?

This may require some effort on ur part 2day, depending on what's going on with u...but whatever happens, don't assume the worst.’

Remembering, power of love and a sound mind. No waiting.

Amen!

I have had many "strange' days in the past months......not always good though I know they are all working together for good because I KNOW the GOOD GOD that is in control of every day....

I love this!!! It does encourage me to do some things I've needed to do. It's good to hear this kind of encouragement from the lips of another. Thanks for being candid! Your sister, Beth

JUST DO IT...I agree, its powerful and simple. Got a number of ignored things checked "done" today using those words...they hadn't even made it onto the TO DO list...feels good.

I like "just njoy the day...even if u don't have it all figured out." I enjoy figuring things out, unraveling mysteries, finding clues...it is the glory of kings to search out a matter. But lately I find myself saying "I don't know, or even think I have a clue" more and more. There's less pressure and somehow it seems that Holy Spirit likes showing He DOES have a clue.

Thanks for the glimpses into the FB world, Bishop.
