The light for your earthly life is PERCEPTION. Therefore, if your PERCEPTION is without fault, your whole life shall be enlightened. If your PERCEPTION be evil, your whole life shall be darkened by it; if the light for you is darkness, how deep will your darkness become?
(Matthew 6:22, 23 - Khaboris Manuscript)
Each of these pictures represents dual realities...the image that you see is determined by your perception.
Is the glass half-full or half-empty? The answer to both questions is "yes"...it's all a matter of perception.
Were the 10 spies telling the truth about Canaan, or were Joshua and Caleb? Again, the answer to both inquiries is "yes"!
I'm not asking specifically what you see in the pictures (although you may want to share that with the rest of the bloggers); my question is a larger one...the pictures are symbolic of changing perception. Do you see things you haven't seen before in familiar passages of Scripture? Is your image of God different now than it was a few years ago? What do you see now in your relationship with Him that you couldn't perceive before?
Perception...
Repentence...
Reality...
Paradigm shift...
The evidence of things not seen...
What is God saying to you today about how you see things?

YES. I ask for new eyes.

My perception is not always without error, but I work very much on it!

I like what proust said the best. Also, in this economy, the proust philosophy could save us $. We don't have to take that expensive holiday trip, we could just see where we are w/different eyes. A bit of irony, but what proust said is akin to a rebirth of sorts. An inner empowerment to face life's challenges head on.

How fun! OK... nobody's offered this, so... what if the pic illustrates Ps. 23? The figures flanking the chalice may be celestial rod and staff.

Or... what if it's Job 38; Light binding the sweet influences of Pleiades or relieving Orion's bandiness?

But, then again, it might be John 1:1, and the
Light in the center, an ancient inkwell.

Wait... it's also 1 Cr. 13:12,13.

Is your image of God different now than it was a few years ago? Yes! And yet, its unsettling to ponder this question and see that the "old images" still come to mind.
What is God saying to you today about how you see things? That I have to choose to change those old images. That it's like a habit. I have to capture the image and consciously, constantly replace it. It is a work that I must do. One day I will notice the new one comes to mind first.
What do you see now in your relationship with Him that you couldn't perceive before? The depth of what it means to Him to Love me. And how much He wants me to let His Love flow out of me. I see how harmful it is to me to withhold His Love from anyone. I have a more circumspect definition of ways Love can manifest and a greater ability to recognize His Love in a "negative". Funny, a lot of my past has been and is being stirred up these recent weeks. I see it as being brought into my now. I've received the gift of perspective to redefine events I'd completely forgotten but now know I hurt myself in the memory of them. Armed with "ALL things work together", I've actually seen how some have. And that gives me the freedom to forgive/re-label some "mistakes" and even personality schtuff...and THAT is making a lot of difference...
Do you see things you haven't seen before in familiar passages of Scripture? Oh my Lord...yes! But I'm also aware that trying to actually think of specifics brings up the thought "but I've always known these things, I knew them from the beginning." I'm seeing the humans in scripture and re-seeing Scripture from the perspective of inspired humans, not robots. And between their lines, I see an amazing plan to compile a collection of experiences that don't tell it all but hint at the mystery of relationship.
I see that walking with God, and man, in the Now, is so very cool...and...I sense He likes that.
You know, I always heard the eyes are the window to the soul. I pray for new eyes too! God's eyes which are perfect clear and without deception. I pray for a new mind and heart too!
I see the two faces and the chalice
I see the young girl and the old man
I see young woman and old woman
I saw the two cities, two roads and the dark birds and white birds in opposite directions
I see the two faces and vase
I see the cube as transparent as well as solid and as suspended and on level
I see nothing but the cross on white
Yes I see God differently now than I saw Him some years ago. I see Him as completely GOOD and full of Grace and Mercy.
My question is am I seeing as HE sees and He perceives?
I want His eyes, His sight...
