SELF-HELP!

Today's affirmation from A Year In The Now...

He who is loose and slack in his work is brother to him who is a destroyer and he who does not use his endeavors to heal himself is brother to him who commits suicide.
(Proverb 18:9 AMP)

1.Today I will live in the now!  I will live in the now because I know that God has given me real and tangible ways to help myself.  I am dependent on Him, but He has not left me helpless!

2.Today I will make my own way prosperous and will possess my promised land by observing God’s commandment to Joshua.  It is written: “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then YOU WILL MAKE YOUR [OWN] WAY PROSPEROUS, and then you will have good success” (Joshua 1:8).

3.Today I will take up my bed and walk concerning my own health and healing.

4.Today I will get busy with accomplishing the task of making my dreams come true.  God will do what only He can do concerning my dream, but I will do what only I can do about it—faith without works is dead!

5.Today I will not waste valuable time by being jealous of others or by feeling sorry for myself for any reason.  My life is unique to me and I, alone, am responsible for the quality of it.

6.Today I will make my words work for me (“A man’s [moral] self shall be filled with the fruit of his mouth; and with the consequence of his words he must be satisfied [whether good or evil].  Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge it shall eat the fruit of it for death or life” – Proverb 18:20, 21 AMP).  I will take full responsibility for my words and for their consequences today.  I am what I say that I am.

7.Today I will work hard, with a good attitude and a positive self-image.  I will do something to make my life better today, and today I will live in the now!

Father, help me to help myself today.  In Jesus’ name, amen.
