Expect Miracles!

". . . Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!" (Mark 9:24)
Today I will live in the now! I will live in the now because my attitude of expectancy is creating for me today an atmosphere in which miracles can be incubated and birthed! I was born for the miraculous – for the RESTORING OF ORDER TO A CHAOTIC ENVIRONMENT. God has placed me in my own, personal Garden of Eden, so that I can subdue my part of the earth. I will, therefore, make a demand on the supernatural to accomplish my Kingdom responsibilities, facing the chaotic disorder around me and taking dominion!

Today I will tap into the miraculous for the RECOVERING OF SIGHT TO THE BLIND. God has made me a seer, so that I can shine His great light on those who sit in gross darkness. He will prove Himself, through me, to those in my world who do not believe, and I will speak the truth to them without fear.
Today I will bring supernatural restoration to those who have been disappointed in covenant relationships for the REPAIRING OF THE BREACH. I will be willing to be a physician of the soul to those who are disconnected by their own sin-consciousness and self-condemnation. My miraculous words of grace and mercy will set the captives free in ways that will amaze all who are involved.
Today I will believe for the impossible for the REALIZING OF MY OWN HEADSHIP. Miracles are standard procedure for me because of my royal sonship and position in Christ and, even though I do not take them for granted, I do expect them to occur on a regular basis – including right now!

Today I will believe that God has miraculously released me from any sin-debt, and has created a new resume' for me for the REWRITING OF MY HISTORY. Because He has not dealt with me according to my sins, nor rewarded me according to my iniquities, He has seen my past in the most positive light possible. I am who He says I am – righteous, holy, above reproach – a miracle!
Today I will expect miracles in the mind for the REPENTING OF CONTINUAL THOUGHT-PATTERNS. I will change my world by changing my mind — and I will start today.
Today I will walk in authority while yielding myself to the Holy Spirit, submitting myself to the will of the Father for the REVEALING OF CHRIST IN ME. I will demonstrate that this revelation actually is the hope of glory, and will be an instrument to help others find it for themselves. Today I will make the miracle of the God-man a reality to my world, and today I will live in the now!

Father, help me to believe big today. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Hope you enjoyed this illustrated version of today's reading in A Year In The Now. I'll be signing copies of the newly released third edition after the upcoming Sunday service...

Keep us in your prayers today as we travel to Washington D.C.

Good morning,

I almost always blog on the CITN website but stopped by here this AM to see that most of you bloggers are late nighters. Any way, I just wanted to comment on the play list (which by the way Bishop is great) and how it always seems to fit in with the commentary at the time I am reading it. I mean this is such an anointed site that even the music participates. Does that ring true for others or is it just special for me? I love the Holy Spirit and the supernatural. His super on the natural makes for a blessed day.

Good Morning Bishop & Bloggers,

I had just been praying about some very important matters. And bringing to mind the ways God has worked in my life so many times in the past and the miracles He has done for me. Then because of the enormity of some things I was praying about my faith began to falter and I prayed "Lord I can see and know that I do believe and trust you in all these things; but please Lord help my unbelief"

Then I read this new post from AYITN WOW! This is amazing!!!!!

The intimacy we have with our Heavenly Father is astounding. He does care about our individual needs and Prayers.

"Thank You Father God So Much"

Thank you Bishop, I pray for blessings on your travels and blessings on the mission. May the Holy Spirit Greatly Anoint you and Debye in all that you do and say. And you guardian angels surround and protect you.

When I woke up this morning I said to myself/Universe/God...I love Mondays. Monday starts the momentum for many miracles. Then I read this post.

Syncronicity...gotta love it.

May we all be a channel for the miraculous today. A miracle shared may be salvation to someone.

I was born for the miraculous – That goes right along with the dream I had about holding an egg and out of it came an EAGLE. Miracles are being birthed! What a wonderful day to be alive!

I really like picture six. It is water and fire but I especially like the green part. Green is my favorite color and to it means calm, rest, peace. Even though we may go through the water and the fire we can rest in the knowledge that everything will work out the way it should. Hugs and blessings to everyone.

God’s movement and process in our life can be and most likely will be painful, irritating, frustrating, and scary, but as we go thru these processes and we are brought thru by each miracle, and his plan which is best for our life, his glory is revealed, and we will draw closer to him. We than know that he will carry our burdens if we will just let him and walk by faith as he has asked us to do. It sounds simple and it is, but it definitely is not easy as our flesh wants to hold onto the control of our lives. I know this because I am a former control freak that God had to break; in order for him to start the work he has in me. “His work, His glory”, I am the vessel that he will use, but it is not about me, it’s his love, his mercy, and his grace that he has for all mankind. As I have put the past behind me, I gladly and faithfully “going forward” with him (I love that song). So as I walk in faith, I do expect miracles and they happen because he is great, and I have turned over the reins of my life to him. Sounds so eloquently put this way, but there were many battles along the way, some I thought I had won and some I knew I had lost, but most were the battles I had with myself to try to stay in control. So, now as I face difficulties, roadblocks, adversaries, I do so with him, with the peace that no matter what the outcome He is with me. I look for his light when it is dark. Because I know that there will always be grace, and spiritual growth in the valleys, and with that I can only expect miracles to bring me thru to the next glory. Contemplating the message yesterday.
I have had challenges with my internet connection, so I didn’t get much of the service on Sunday.

Don't like all of the devil talk, but I understand it contextually. Something feels extremely retro about it. I know a red-tailed demon is not being discussed, but if it is addressed at all, the emphasis is not on the universe. Maybe it is. See? Contemplation abounds and it is GOOD.

It's my issue and I will see it through.

Today In The News:
Ambassadors of Christ Bishop Jim Swilley and wife Pastor Debye head to Washington, D.C. for plans regarding Global Peace Fest (GPF).
Prayers of agreement for anointing, wisdom, favor and blessings are pouring in!
I would like to add my personal amen!

Also, A Year In The Now (3rd edition)-personal signings this Sunday at CITN(that's Church In The Now) after service. Get it while it's HOT!

In response to the personals today;

To Lisa...yes and amen to covenant and the expectation of miracles as mentioned in BITN today!

Dennis...wonderful reminders of God's work in our lives so strengthen our belief and faith.
Journals are GREAT!!!

Fairydust...So many things DO happen late at night, and make news the next morning. I'm always thinking, "how can I make time to report on this somehow...I need rest but want to also be sensitive to man's current joys or troubles...hmmm..." I really liked the part of SUPER with the NATURAL for some reason.

famman87...In agreement for the miracles you need, and revelation for anything that may already be in your hand today that can produce that manisfestation. Be true to you.

sissido...Yes, the color green, for green trees and green pastures! REST!...everything will work out!

pamelat...this song comes to me, for you, I heard it sung by Amy Grant;
Lay down your burden
I will carry you
I will carry you my child

I give sight to the blind man
I can raise the dead
I've seen the darker side of hell
And I've returned lay down your burden
I will carry you
I will carry you my child
keep moving forward!
And with the courage of the Lion from Wizard of Oz, say "I DO believe in MIRACLES, I do, I do, I do!"
Fear turns into courage already within you, so come through the valley of the witches forest into glory on the other side. Keep following the yellow brick road. It might be hard to see when it is dark, but it is under your feet and still the same road that leads to paradise!

To Peacemaker...yes, a MIRACLE shared may be SALVATION to someone. I encourage you and everyone to journal those MIRACLES and SHARE them! dream...the egg and the eagle. Hey that makes a neat title, think I can borrow it?
Keep sharing those dreams. Any more?

g8trgrl...your comments about de-plane (think Tatoo)...reminded me of hopeful expectation and preparation...running to the action, welcoming, celebrating, showing our guests the beautiful things on our paradise.
It also reminded me of prophecy/revelation at Sunday's service at the end. I was there and a lady kept saying "the cloud, the cloud, the cloud is moving!!!"
Speaking honestly, one of the first things I thought of was when Tatoo kept saying "the plane, the plane!"
I believe we should move with the same joy and expectancy and preparation, and welcome and celebrate wherever that cloud(plane) lands. We welcome our guests. We welcome You Father, we welcome You Jesus, We welcome You Holy Spirit. Receive our kiss and make yourselves at home!

laura...I guess biblically speaking "man" would include the woman. They are happy on the same island together. We need each other to help put on the suntan lotion and gather sticks for the fire at be one another's shade as needed and warmth(fire) by night!
...and the 7 a pirate finding treasure I agree and say "Arrrrh, there's TREASURRRE!!!"

robyn...nice vision, a very lively picture order of beautiful things amidst the chaos.

to all...I'm looking forward to the evening edition, gotta fl..(er)
run, for now, somethin's up, and I've got to talk with Jimmy and Lois real quick.

God's blessings and MIRACLES to you all, today and into the night!

Favor, favor, miracle favor
all over, under, around and through your trip to DC!

Robyn, coffee pot is in the corner.
"all with strength and dance, and creative beauty. Very cool!" Amen.

Fairydust, many have posted the same phenomenal blessing.

AYITN Illustrated. I keep thinking of the pictures Jesus painted with His parables, and the different versions recently of BLOGINTHENOW.

Pictures in a "published" AYITN Illustrated could become like the logos? But AYITN Illustrated, updated "whenever" on BLITN, is a living rhema word. There is an electric atmosphere today.

Manifest, miracle, manifest.

Anonymous said...

All the pics are mind expanding. On the topic of believing for miracles, here’s mine:

I don’t think I ever really understood the parable of the eleventh hour laborers, but the Lord gave me this rhema word (maybe just for me): I’ve been sitting under Bishop’s teaching for, what, a quarter century? Yikes. I’ve labored, at least in my little world, to make what I’ve heard a reality. For my wages, all I ever expected of the Lord was a good life - (Don’t start…“There’s no normal life, Wyatt, there’s just life...”) - not a perfect life, just a good one. He’s given me that.

Recently, I’ve been thinking about all my natural brothers and sisters. How they haven’t had the years of revelation teaching or hours of praise & worship that I’ve had, not to mention their familiar stories about how it’s our parents’ fault for _____ (fill in the blank for the addiction/sorry life circumstance du jour). It’s interesting that we weren’t raised with the Bible belt devil, but we managed to conveniently assign them the role – must be human nature. So now, instead of me trying to get them to “perceive correctly,” (Yeah. That’ll happen.) what I really want is for them to receive the same wages I’ve been given, and to receive them in this life! I have no idea how that can happen, but I believe the Owner of the vineyard is that generous, that the miraculous is that close, and the Spirit is that cool!

*Adds agreement with everyone else*. I may be in the minority here, but it's not that I don't expect the miraculous out of God, I def. do. My problem is I don't want to "bother God" with the "everyday" stuff. I feel selfish asking for healing in my knee when one of my former students has an inoperable brain tumor. How dare I ask for a companion when he has broken marriages to restore. Feeling worthy is something I've got to accept in all areas of my life, my spiritual walk is no exception,

If a tree falls in the forest and no one else is around will you or Superman hear it?

Love the Big Smiley face. So 70's

Through The Rain by Mariah Carey

When you get caught in the rain with no where to run
When you're distraught and in pain without anyone
When you keep crying out to be saved
But nobody comes and you feel so far away
That you just can't find your way home
You can get there alone
It's okay, what you say is
I can make it through the rain
I can stand up once again on my own
And I know that I'm strong enough to mend
And every time I feel afraid I hold tighter to my faith
And I live one more day and I make it through the rain
And if you keep falling down don't you dare give in
You will arise safe and sound, so keep pressing on steadfastly
And you'll find what you need to prevail
What you say is

I can make it through the rain
I can stand up once again on my own
And I know that I'm strong enough to mend
And every time I feel afraid I hold tighter to my faith
And I live one more day and I make it through the rain

And when the rain blows, as shadows grow close don't be afraid
There's nothing you can't face
And should they tell you you'll never pull through
Don't hesitate, stand tall and say

I can make it through the rain
I can stand up once again on my own
And I know that I'm strong enough to mend
And every time I feel afraid I hold tighter to my faith
And I live one more day and I make it through the rain

I can make it through the rain
And I stand up once again
And I live one more day
And I can make it through the rain
(Yes you can)
You will make it through the rain

This may not be the appropriate place to do this, but I have visited your church a few times with a friend and I am inspired by your message. I also have learned that you are a philanthrophist. I am not looking for a donation. But I was wondering if you are interested in advertising in a theatre souvinir book for a production that I am directing this weekend. By the way, my name is Laphilia Butler. The show is called Mama Peavy & Friends: Healing through Laughter. It is comedy variety show that features musicans, dancers, comedians, and short comedic scripts. It is a small production with a small budget but we are looking to cut some costs through sponsors. We still have the inside full-space ad spaces available. The fee is only $250 for a full color ad. You'll be included on our website as well. For more information about the productions, please visit If you are unable to purchase ad space, perhaps you'd be interested in buying tickets to see the show or donating purchased tickets. You may contact me at By the way, I am a blurker. I don't contribute much but I enjoy the posts. Thanks for your time.

Jane-Jane-Jane, welcome to the table. That was R-H-E-M-A for me today. I keep wondering what is standing in our way and realized it could just be me. I thought I was the least religious person you would ever meet and yet today as I passed several businesses of prosperous people we know, I thought to myself -self here we are in the building business trying our da@#dest to walk in integrity in all that we do and it "appears" that it is falling apart at the seams. Yet these people are cheating on their wives or husbands or giving everything back to the banks and sticking their subcontractors, stealing money from their parents and keeping construction draws to run away, and they seem to be doing fine,,so I said to God today What is up with that? We have sacrificed and are sacrificing ALL to walk this thing out in integrity...then here comes Jane wishing the same wages on those who have chosen to walk differently. That is SO cool and I just pray that I can get ahold of that because it is a Jesus concept I obviously have yet to grasp. So thank you Jane. By the way- all the pics are cool, but obviously I need to check them out again because I was way too busy working out everybody elses moral issues. P.S. Sissiedoo-now i understand the green afghan you crocheted me and it means even more.

Oh my gosh, Larry your post was a word to me. I have been dealing with a situation that in my mind was making a huge accomplishment feel like it was insignigifant and small. I even said those words to God today while praying. I couldnt understand why something I have worked so hard on for months was all of a sudden demoted to feel like the least. With this project I have to deal with seasoned people in the field (much higher up than me) and I felt like I was jumping off a 100 story building, just dealing with them in the first place (as a fact the dept I have to deal with on this is in a extremely tall building on Peachtree St down town)ironic. But, I recieve your words, it may be uncomfortable because it is change/new/beginning , it will come out better on the other side. The door that was suppose to recieve me that appears closed will open, one way or another. The potter is my strength and would not lead me into the wrong avenue. I accept , I accept.

Ebony, if I remember correctly, you alluded to this the other day. It is definitely not my intention to make light of what you're saying.

That said, my first thought on praying about "everyday stuff" was--have you tried praying unceasingly? I eventually ran out of the "big stuff" and HAD to go to the everyday stuff--(smile).

Add in "give me eyes to see your answers" every once in a while and I'm confident you'll be amazed at what God cares about.

Karl, great news. You have the mind of Christ.

Dennis, Hi! Where's Donald?

Hi Jane, pass the bowl of mashed potatoes?

Hey, bloggers…we just got home from a very full day…up at 4:30 to leave for the airport @ 5:30…back home by 7:30 (PM)…nearly doesn’t seem real…everything was perfect, couldn’t have gone better…I’ll probably say something about it in tomorrow’s article and definitely on Wednesday night…thanks for praying…I feel like I took you all with me because I was reading your posts throughout the entire meeting…

Welcome to all the newcomers…it’s cool to have a Clark Kent here…loved everyone’s posts…

Jane, I hesitate to say anything about your blog, because the last time I said something positive about a blog of yours it took on a life of its own, and now people copy it and read it in an effort to cure leprosy and end global warming…but it was good…

Did Robyn blog something, too? Just kidding, Rob…and I read the one from the other day, too…thanks…

Laphilia, I’m a huge supporter of the arts, especially live theatre, but I have to decline because of a precedent issue. I’ve turned down lots of other things like that, because if I can’t do it for everyone I can’t do it for anyone. Sometimes I’ll make an exception, as in the case of when my son was in a production at his school, but that’s my policy. At least you got to post your web address and advertise a little here…thank for understanding…

Thanks, Tracy…as far as how things “appear”, all I can tell you is that little, if anything, in the natural has changed for us in that area, but every time I start to say something about it the Holy Spirit says to me (over and over again) “the just shall live by faith”…we’re all gonna make it…keep moving forward…

This is what i feel leaping in my spirit when i read "Expect Miracles!", especially when i went back and read just the words in all caps! These words descibe either Bishop's role or the role of the parties that need to come 2gethr. i think that its sooo cool what God is doing in your life Bishop! i'm telling people that God got you with Hindus, Buddists, Moonies, Muslims & Farrahkan cuz He's using you as a "bridge builder" to bring 2gethr these people, with the help of the Holy Spirit, to possibly broker world peace! Now that's profound! i'm so honored to be in covenant with the Body @ CITN for such a NOW time as this!

Hi Bishop Swilley, the Redeemed and Kal-El.

I loved your definition of the miraculous,Bishop,"Restore of order to a chaotic environment".We generally look at the miraculous the opposite way as God intervening into the natural course of things, the abnormal replacing the normal.Maybe if we view miracles as God means of restoring the earth to its original state maybe it would be easier to flow in the miraculous.

Peace to everyone.

Just some thoughts and gratitude...

It’s not that unusual
When everything is beautiful.
It’s just another ordinary miracle today.

The sky knows when its time to snow,
Don’t need to teach a seed to grow.
It’s just another ordinary miracle today.

Life is like a gift they say
Wrapped up for you everyday;
Open up and find a way
To give some of your own.

Isn’t it remarkable?
Like every time a rain drop falls,
It’s just another ordinary miracle today.

Birds in winter have their fling
But always make it home by spring.
It’s just another ordinary miracle today.

When you wake up everyday
Please don’t throw your dreams away;
Hold them close to your heart
Cause we’re all a part
Of the ordinary miracle.
Ordinary miracle

Do you want to see a miracle?
ohh ohh ohh, ohhh ohh ohh...

It seems so exceptional
That things just work out after all.
It’s just another ordinary miracle today.

Sun comes up and shines so bright
And disappears again at night.
It’s just another ordinary miracle today.
ohh ohh ohh, ohh ohhh ohh...
It’s just another ordinary miracle today.

--Ordinary Miracle by Sarah McLachlan

I heard this song on TV for the first time a few months back and was drawn to research the lyrics to see what God might be saying through them...they fit well in today's post so I repeat them for everyone to Selah and to enjoy.

It makes me very happy to read about how our Bishop is taking these gigantic first steps into this arena...the arena of World Peace...allow me to speak that again please...Our Bishop and Pastor Debye are involved in an organization devoted to WORLD PEACE! Do we all really "get it" or is it still sinking in? I think it's beginning to sink in--how awesome God really is...and how awesome it is that you and I get to SHARE in this missive because we are CONNECTED here. Are we really GETTING IT?

Jane spoke of the shared wages and it was a word for me as well...we are all SHARING in what this Peace Initiative and Peace Federation will accomplish! We must prayerfully support our fearless leaders and our amazing staff with all we have to give! EVERYTHING is GOD's anyway...we need to honor God and those that He placed here in our house with not only our prayers but everything we do...our words, actions, and yes, our MONEY...give it up! You want to be part of this great move...this New thing? Then you gotta go "all in"'s up to each of us to do it or to let it pass by and try to explain how it is that we just didn't feel like putting in the effort...I don't know about you but I don't want to have to explain my lack of trying or lack of belief in God...I just want to do what He has for me to do here and when the time comes, be tossing my crowns at His feet. I think you all get the meaning. You're in or your out...Step Up...Pick a Side!

I'm glad to see PM and DBA back among the living and so many others who have become part of my day...y'all are important to me even if I only have time for a blurk-by to post later, it's important to have y'all here.

Bishop, Your illustrative selections were especially amazing today and am so glad your day...while surreal...was so obviously ordered steps...please do tell us more after you get some rest...but that first shot just screams's all creation about to groan again...I know we get frustrated with the waiting but I was imagining how frustrated the rest of creation is after all the waiting and groaning! Whew! Time to roll already! (Beauteous)

I don't believe I could possibly improve on some of the interpretations given of them (good one, Robyn...cured my did...Really! ;)

It's good to have Clark Kent on the job...stay away from the green, red, black...oh just stay the heck away from ALL Kryptonite and keep on bloggin, Dude!

Happy, Brenda, Lisa, Laura, Tom, Ebony, Nancy, Tracy, Reign, Karl, Pamela, Fairydust, Sissiedo, Larry, my friends Avatar and Dennis and Fanman87, Linda and even the inimitable goddesses...Ms. Darlene Swilley, Ms. Jane Conyers, and Ms. Robyn Darby...I love y’all bunches :) My blog away from blog...I mean home away from home, I mean my BITN from CITN...which really boils down to my home within my home...hmmm...

Tomorrow my day will again be unwritten when I awake and I will take it to heart and blaze a trail across the page of my life and never take for granted a single solitary ordinary miracle. I pray for all those ordinary and yes, even extraordinary miracles for each of us and everyone around family and yours...let us celebrate the goodness and mercy of God and always “think on these things” (Phil. 4:4-8).

Goodnight and Blessings Blog Fam!

It’s funny, because today in my fellowship with someone, I told her the Lord told me some time ago, pray for nothing. But expect the unexpected, and expect everything.

Everyday, since I have a relationship with the Father, Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit, I live to expect a miracle every day. Is that good or bad? I don’t know. And I cannot tell you where there it is or not. But one thing I do know, I expect a miracle from my Heavenly Father every morning of every day. I make no apology for that, because, I believe without a shadow of a doubt, our God, our Father wants us to have that kind of desire and expectation from Him. I cannot tell you I receive some material things every day. No! But I can tell you each day a Miracle happen to me. “I am more alive each day, because every day He blesses me with a new life, a new revelation, new dreams, and something new to look forward always".

Bishop! I understand now, why Apostle Paul said: He couldn’t give an explanation to anyone, concerning the third heaven (2 cor12:2) because even he couldn’t understand, or putting into words himself. So, Sunday that’s what happened to me. Sunday’s message, certainly made me appreciate the wonders of God’s more. It was like a cup of cold water to my soul, after some good manna. Like the grace of God.

#3 comment, minister to me: today I will bring supernatural restoration to those who have disappointed in covenant relationship for the REPAIRING OF THE BREACH. I will be willing to be a physician of the souls to those who are disconnected. By their own sin-consciousness and self-condemnation. My miraculous words of grace and mercy will set the captives free in ways that will amaze all who are involved.

Isaiah 26:3- You will in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you.-12- LORD, you establish Peace for us; all that we have accomplished you have done for us.

Grace, Peace, and Love cover us all,
Bonjour, kekette

the greatest good you can do for another is not just to shared your riches, but to reveal to him/her his/her own.(Benjamin Disraeli). Thank you Bishop and Pastor debye for teaching us how to reach our own gift and potential.

Welcome home...Thank you both, for taking us with you in spirit.

Talk to you later, needs some sleep. God blesses us all.

It's wonderful to hear of all the news and traveling, and jets and media. I would love to fly to one of these places and sit in on a meeting and report first-hand.

I've been a little tied up on things and will try to report something LATE tonight. A lot has been going on and there is much ground to cover.

Laura, about the tree;
I think it depends on how far Superman might be from the location, not sure, I have a feeling other noises might get in the way maybe, like screaming children or gunshots!
As for me, I suppose if I'm close enough to the tree and I'm the only one there, I guess I might be able to hear it.

Have to go now, there's a child that needs a lift home.

God's blessings to you today Bishop! Enjoyed the snap shots, haven't shown them to Jimmy yet. He definitely loves taking pictures that might make the news!
