Crown Him Lord of All!

Here are the complete lyrics to the great hymn All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name!, written in 1779 (Words: Edward Perronet/Music: Oliver Holden). Most hymn books only contain four of the ten verses that were originally written, but no other song more aptly combines the concepts of worship in relation to reconciliation than does this beautiful classic.

All hail the power of Jesus’ Name! Let angels prostrate fall;
Bring forth the royal diadem, and crown Him LORD OF ALL!
Bring forth the royal diadem, and crown Him LORD OF ALL!

Let highborn seraphs tune the lyre, and as they tune it, fall
Before His face Who tunes their choir, and crown Him LORD OF ALL!
Before His face Who tunes their choir, and crown Him LORD OF ALL!

Crown Him, ye morning stars of light, who fixed this floating ball;
Now hail the strength of Israel’s might, and crown Him LORD OF ALL!
Now hail the strength of Israel’s might, and crown Him LORD OF ALL!

Crown Him, ye martyrs of your God, who from His altar call;
Extol the Stem of Jesse’s Rod, and crown Him LORD OF ALL!
Extol the Stem of Jesse’s Rod, and crown Him LORD OF ALL!

Ye seed of Israel’s chosen race, ye ransomed from the fall,
Hail Him Who saves you by His grace, and crown Him LORD OF ALL!
Hail Him Who saves you by His grace, and crown Him LORD OF ALL!

Hail Him, ye heirs of David’s line, whom David’s Lord did call,
The God incarnate, Man divine, and crown Him LORD OF ALL!!
The God incarnate, Man divine, and crown Him LORD OF ALL!

Sinners, whose love can ne’er forget the wormwood and the gall,
Go spread your trophies at His feet, and crown Him LORD OF ALL!!
Go spread your trophies at His feet, and crown Him LORD OF ALL!

Let EVERY KINDRED, EVERY TRIBE ON THIS TERRESTRIAL BALL
To Him all majesty ascribe, and crown Him LORD OF ALL!
To Him all majesty ascribe, and crown Him LORD OF ALL!

Let EVERY TRIBE AND EVERY TONGUE BEFORE HIM PROSTRATE FALL,
And SHOUT IN UNIVERSAL SONG the crowned Lord of all.
And SHOUT IN UNIVERSAL SONG the crowned Lord of all.

John Rippon added this verse in 1787:

O THAT, WITH YONDER SACRED THRONG, WE AT HIS FEET MAY FALL,
JOIN IN THE EVERLASTING SONG, AND CROWN HIM LORD OF ALL!
JOIN IN THE EVERLASTING SONG, AND CROWN HIM LORD OF ALL!!!

Hey All

Didn't know that song had 10 verses. very Cool.

That picture of the angel. One word Intense

Thank the Lord I made it home safe yesterday. My car started to give out on I-20. I just pray it will get fixed soon.
Ya know it's kinda nice not having any where to be.
Looking at the positive side.

When things look bad
Don't get mad
Look at the good side
See the situation in a different light.

BEAUTIFUL! I can actually picture the majestic vision of everyone in unison bowing before His Splendor and singing 'Crown HIM LORD Of ALL'. He unites us all and we are all connected thru HIM~every tribe and every nation! We are to be His voice, His hand, His touch, His smile to bring about His peace, and unity and to display His love for His glory!

Just reveling in the Beauty of His prescence!!!

So blessed to be able to come here!!!

ps...Laura, praying for your situation. He will make a way! He has not forgotten you!

Love~Peace~

Good afternoon Bishop

This has always been a special song to me. Isn't it amazing how a song can take you immediately to another place and time? This song takes me to a Sunday morning one spring in the little Methodist church where I grew up. Church was never an option for us. My mom saw to it that if the church was open we were in it. Anyway, that particular morning the Lord was there in mighty large form and when we sung that song. His presence was all over it, I was probably only 8 or 9 at the time but I knew it was God and I have never forgotten that feeling.

When all of the young people went down this Sunday morning it was so special. My own two sons were among that crowd and I could not have been more proud of them than if they were going to accept an award. My sons are growing up under the most anointed teachers on the planet.

Love you

Let there be light(illumination that comes from inside and results in an epiphany)

Bishop:
Thanks for the memories, as Bob Hope would say - the lyrics evoked reflection on some really precious images from my youth that includes some wonderful believers who have made the transition...nice..."beautiful" nice.

Laura, although I never really counted them, I spent the first 18 years of my life in a Baptist Church where the congregation sang every single verse almost every Sunday - not always on key, but always with a tremendous amount of ferver and conviction...I often wondered how they learned the words because they never sang it out of a hymnal and, as a little girl, the song seemed to me to go on forever. Funny how beautiful it seems to me now...an incredibly powerful call to worship.

Lovely photos, Bishop!

Exhaling from my road trip,

First off, LOVE the pictures you used today, just awesome. It's also cool to me to read the posts on how they're moved in their spirits when they hear this song. Part of it re-connecting to the cloud of witnesses, part of it deep calling to deep, all of it part of his knowledge filling the earth. Awesome!

Thanks Lisa, I know it's coming from a place of love, but while I am my parents child, I'm not a child anymore, and we're making that relationship transition.

Crownjewel - Thanks it's going to turn around.

Hey Mayam - I know what your talking about. At least now we have the big screen with the words on it to cheat from LOL. It helps when I get lost in the worship.
Curtis & the rest of his team do an awesome job putting up the words & doing the lights & sound.
Sometimes I wish Bishop would not stop the worship. Yesterday was great loved the worship.

Evening Cyber Siblings,
I realize that Jesus is Lord of all or not Lord at all by the very connotation of the title. But I certainly do believe that there comes a time in everyone’s life-experience that we must crown Him Lord of all “our” life; in as much is possible within each one of us according to the level of maturity we have attained. I believe this is an ongoing process as we open up more and more doors of the rooms of our hearts and allow the king of Glory to come in and take his place as Lord in yet another area of our life. This is the process and progression of the salvation experience. This has been the experience of my walk with the Lord of Life and Light. As His presence in each room has illuminated each new room with such light that only then could I see clearly the contents and needed attention, the beauty and blessings in each one. Oh there are plenty more to be opened and released to the one to whom they truly belong. And will be in the order of whom all order comes. As my mind and thoughts are subjected to the mind of Christ who will cast down all rule and authority in my heart and the hearts of all as He takes His rightful place on the throne of our hearts for He truly is Lord of All. Amen come Lord Jesus, so be it

Peace,
Dennis

Thanks for the comments...I know that it looks odd that yesterday's article had 48 comments and today's just had 7, but actually, 19 of the 48 were posted today before I put up the lyrics to "All Hail the Power"...

I appreciate your word, Rev. Dennis...had lots of opportunities today to ask myself who my Lord really is, and as of 10:14 PM, it's still Jesus!

This article is not really easy to write something about, so I appreciate the effort...

Love you all...

I've heard that song all my life but never thought about it on a personal level. If I had to guess, I would say that most congregations sing it and visualize a global or universal crowning event, but it is like Dennis said, it is a personal event as well. And no doubt we are probably all alike in that we have crowned Him in some areas and not in others.
I am thankful now that I can rely on the Holy Spirit to let me know what those areas are. I mean, for example, when I decided to start obeying God, I knew right then and there that I was finished with whores, and prostitutes and cross dressers. I didn't have to have a denomination to tell me that. Sure I fought it for awhile, but the Lord finally won out.

He has fire in His eyes
and a sword in His hand
and He's ridiing a white horse
all across this land

And He's calling out to you and me
"Will you ride with me?
We say "Yes Lord"
"We'll ride with you."

Bishop-

So interesting you should bring up this song today! In praise & worship yesterday I saw myself "casting my crown" before the Lord, having recognized how TOTALLY WORTHY HE IS TO HAVE IT!!!
ANYTHING I have that's good in me I simply cannot take credit for...it is ALL IN HIM.
Worthy is the Lamb that was slain, to receive riches & glory & honor & wisdom & power...worthy to receive our LIFE, our praise & our love.
Worthy is the Lamb
Worthy is the Lamb

YOUR ONLY SON, NO SIN TO HIDE
BUT YOU HAVE SENT HIM
FROM YOUR SIDE
TO WALK UPON THIS GUILTY SOD
AND TO BECOME THE LAMB OF GOD

YOUR GIFT OF LOVE THEY CRUCIFIED
THEY LAUGHED AND SCORNED HIM
AS HE DIED
THE HUMBLE KING THEY NAMED A FRAUD
AND SACRIFICED THE LAMB OF GOD

O LAMB OF GOD SWEET LAMB OF GOD
I LOVE THE HOLY LAMB OF GOD
O WASH ME IN YOUR PRECIOUS BLOOD
MY JESUS CHRIST THE LAMB OF GOD

I WAS SO LOST I SHOULD HAVE DIED
BUT YOU HAVE BROUGHT ME TO
YOUR SIDE
TO BE LEAD BY YOUR STAFF AND ROD
AND TO BE CALLED A LAMB OF GOD

O LAMB OF GOD SWEET LAMB OF GOD
I LOVE THE HOLY LAMB OF GOD
O WASH ME IN YOUR PRECIOUS BLOOD
TILL I AM JUST A LAMB OF GOD

"Lamb of God" by Twila Paris

Peace,

Larry

ps- loved all the posts last couple days
Scott- will be praying!

I edited this last part on my blog to say “for He truly is Lord of All and will be ALL IN ALL. Amen come Lord Jesus, so be it”

Seems to me that being ALL IN ALL is the same as being Lord of all. This short phrase just defines for me “how” Jesus will eventually be Lord of all. I know the scripture that I quoted the phrase from says “God” will be all in all; but I think Jesus and the Father work pretty much the same way…… “whatever I see the Father doing”………

Just another thought

Please pray for me...I need...nevermind...God's got it.

I am praying for you Laura...for a great car that you will absolutely enjoy...this one? A new one? God knows. It will be good for you. I pray for all of CITN/BITN.

I surely do love y'all and I do not know what this changing force is doing among and in us...but He is doing a new thing. I know I'm not the only one who feels this...I am not sure how to describe it or if I can...but please know what I have discovered...We are NOT ALONE...God is always with us...but we--you and I and anyone else you might know that are having these incredibly difficult times in their lives...such has never been before in gravity for some of us...it may seem as bad as not knowing where a next meal will come from or where you will live or what your life will become. The most important thing I can say is to reiterate this: YOU/I/WE are NOT ALONE. Others are sharing your fate...friends are helping you carry your burdens so they don't utterly destroy you. God has given you armor bearers, handmaidens, and most importantly, Light bearers. They will be around and go before us to lead the way. It may be only a step at a time maybe just one in an entire day...but it will be a step. We are leaving this place of darkness, of powerlessness, of LIES and helplessness/hopelessness...for the FINAL time! Never to return. This is a NEW WAY OUT...don't look to the old ways...to what you've caused to happen before or even to what God has caused to happen before because this time...he's bustin' loose! It's a NEW WAY! A NEW DAY! A NEW TIME and A NEW WALK...He's bringing us out to bring us in a new way...and His way is perfect and will bring about His perfect will in our lives! Hallelujah!!!

Now I know that was for others aside from me and the few with whom I have spoken lately...there are others out there who feel this "limbo" as well...I don't know about all of you...but the rest of us are leavin' this low energy, unfulfilling place in our lives and we are MOVING FORWARD!!! In Jesus' Name! In Jesus' Name! In Jesus' Name! Walk OUT OF IT!

I love you all very much and my prayers are with you as they are with all of CITN/BITN always. I know this is different for me but it's necessary for many--and y'all know exactly to whom I am speaking this (and this is ONLY FOR US--if this has anything in you, you will know).

The Kingdom suffers VIOLENCE and the VIOLENT TAKE IT BY FORCE! TAKE IT BY FORCE! MOVE OUT! MOVE ON! MOVE ON IN! CITN is on a new, higher level and we will be joining the gang there! Woo Hoo!!!

I've got to get hold of my vision...as do we all! Only then can HE BE LORD OF ALL in our lives! It happens through obedience and vision!

Ok...I'll step off now...I know I had to do this so I pray it is received in the spirit in which it was intended...love and compassion on us all.

Have a beautiful and glorious day CITN! I love you all!

Blessings Blog Fam!

Ok...wordver is hawijil...I've always wanted to visit Hawaii!

PS...Awesome declaration Bishop...I'm sure it was difficult as I can somewhat relate...please know that in the midst of the valleys you get some fabulous views of the beautiful mountains, right? I'm hoping that for myself anyway.

God bless you and yours...you're all so very talented...thank you for sharing it with all of us. Where would we be without your dreams/visions? Thank you, Bishop and P-Debye...thank you CITN staff and all pastors. You are loved more than any group or individuals I have ever known...and we're going to continue layin' it on yas.

One ?: Say someone told you (hypothetically, of course) that they needed a vision so as not to "perish"...how would you go about telling this believer to seek one? Of course, this person believes they are doing all they can do and still not clicking with any vision for themselves...now I know you don't often have much time to answer such things--so if you don't, that is fine, I'm sure a vision will be forthcoming and my friend and I will laugh about it later.

More blessings to the Blogmaster and his team as well as the whole dayum fam...

Good night All...TTFN

Such a good, good word mystic. I don't know anyone else's situation, but I certainly received that. In fact, it read quite direct. The Lord has been dealing with me tonight about how to more fully enter in because the water is rising. Yes we ALL are a part of the Passover because of the blood, but let us allow God to take us through all the feasts and into his tabernacles and when we've entered the promised land here on Earth, they will know Him by our Love for one another. Come Lord Jesus in Me. Light your Light in all my rooms. Purposing in our hearts the joy of our King.
You all had such great posts today. And thank you for your prayers. I know God is doing his thing and will do it in his timing. Prayer is just part of our part in it, and I like it. Especially praying in the Spirit. God is so much better with words than I am. I'll keep you updated on my friends. Today is not the day to talk about it, but I just know God is in it.

Accelerating in Speed, Yet Suspended in Increasing Peace,

Letting the Lord win out,

Treading Lightly and by the Spirit,

Taking it by Force! Moving Out! Moving On! Moving In!

And Crowning Him Lord of All!

WOW! That songs floods my head with memories of my Southern Baptist upbringing. I love the song and always have. Another favorite of mine is "Without Him"

Without Him

) Without Him I could do nothing
Without Him I'd surely fail
Without Him I would be drifting
Like a ship without a sail

(Chorus) Jesus, O Jesus
Do you know Him today
Do not turn Him away
O Jesus, O Jesus
Without Him, how lost I would be!

(Vs2) Without Him I could be dying
Without Him I'd be enslaved
Without Him life would be hopeless
But with Jesus, Thank God
I'm saved!

(Chorus) Jesus, O Jesus
Do you know Him today
Do not turn Him away
O Jesus, O Jesus
Without Him, how lost I would be!
