Man, Bishop, you've done more traveling in one year than most of us would do in a life time and yet you still keep in touch with all of us. Thanks & Welcome Home

Thanks, R., your acknowledgment meant a lot to me...

Hey bloggers,

Do you think it's too early to put my holiday playlist on the blog?

Bishop,

I had to send this to you. One morning at Virginia Beach I opened the door to the balcony to look out at the ocean and had to rub my eyes… “Jesus is that you?”

Thanks, P. Nancy...

Even your poets have said...

Across The Sea by Weezer

Oh, how I need a hand in mine to feel
Why are you so far away from me?
I got your letter
You got my song

Minute On The Creek by Chiodos

This is probably the best,
not to mention the worst idea,
that I have ever had.
Answer me!
All egos aside, what do you say?
All egos aside, what do you say?

Beyond The Sea by Bobby Darin

I know beyond a doubt
My heart will lead me there soon
We'll meet, I know we'll meet, beyond the shore
We'll kiss just as before.
Happy we'll be beyond the sea
And never again I'll go sailin'.

Black Water by The Doobie Brothers

Old black water,
keep on rollin'
Mississippi moon won't you keep on shinin' on me?
Yeah, keep on shinin' your light, gonna make every thing
Pretty mama, gonna make everything all right
And I ain't got no worries 'cause I ain't in no hurry at all
Well, if it rains, I don't care, don't make no difference to me

Down By The River by Neil Young

Be on my side,
I'll be on your side,
There is no reason
for you to hide

Down By The Seaside by Led Zeppelin

Sing loud for the sunshine
Pray hard for the rain
And show your love for Lady Nature
And she will come back again
Yes she will, yes she will
Oh, oh, oh, the people turned away
The people turned away
Don't they know that they're goin' ?

Down To The River To Pray by Alison Krauss

As I went down in the river to pray
Studying about that good old way
And who shall wear the starry crown
Good Lord, show me the way !

Edge Of The Ocean by Ivy

There's a place I dream about
Where the sun never goes out.
And the sky is deep and blue.
Won't you take me there with you.
There's a world I've always known
Somewhere far away from home
When I close my eyes I see
All the space and mystery
Ohhh, we can begin again.
Shed our skin, let the sun shine in.
At the edge of the ocean
We can start over again.

Gather at the River by Point of Grace

We have all made enemies of
The ones were called by christ to love
But theres redemption at the riverside
The waters deep, the waters wide
It can wash away our bitterness
The current is strong
I think we've been out in the desert too long
Shall we gather at the river of forgiveness
Come together at the waters of love
Flowing like a fountain from the mercy giver
Shall we gather at the river

Green River by Creedence Clearwater Revival

Well, take me back down where cool waters flow, yeah.
Let me remember the things I love.
Stoppin' at the log where catfish bite,
Walkin' along the river road at night,
Barefoot girls, dancin' in the moonlight.

Lake Of Fire by The Meat Puppets

Where do bad folks go when they die?
They don't go to heaven where the angels fly.
They go to a lake of fire and fry,
You won't see 'em again till the 4th of July

Lake Pontchartrain by Ludo

Come down to Lake Pontchartrain
Rest your soul and feed your brain
That's where you will get to see
Everything the water can be.

Let The River Run by Carly Simon

Oh, my heart is aching.
We're coming to the edge,
Running on the water,
Coming through the fog,
Your sons and daughters.
It's asking for the taking.
Trembling, shaking.
Oh, my heart is aching.
Let the river run,
Let all the dreamers
Wake the nation.
Come, the New Jerusalem.

Ocean of Noise by Arcade Fire

In an ocean of noise
I first heard your voice
Ringing like a bell
As if I had a choice, oh well!

River Deep, Mountain High by Ike and Tina Turner

Well I love you baby like the flowers love the spring
And I love you baby like the bluebirds love to sing
And I love you baby like a schoolboy loves his pie
And I love you baby river deep and mountain high

River Of Deceit by Mad Season

My pain is self-chosen
At least, so the prophet says
I could either burn
Or cut off my pride, and buy some time
A head full of lies is the weight, tied to my waist
The River of Deceit pulls down
The only direction we flow is down
Down, oh down

The Ocean by Led Zeppelin

Sitting round singing songs 'til the night turns into day
Used to sing on the mountains but the mountains washed away

The Ocean by U2

And I felt like a star
I felt the world could go far
If they listened
To what I said
Washes my feet
Washed the feet
Splashes the soul of my shoes

The River by Good Charlotte

Baptized in the river
I've seen the vision of my life
And I wanna be delivered
In the city was a sinner
I've done a lot of things wrong
But I swear I'm a believer
Like the prodigal son
I was out on my own
Now I'm trying to find my way back home
Baptized in the river
I'm delivered
I'm delivered

Under the Sea by Disney

Under the sea
Under the sea
Darling it's better
Down where it's wetter
Take it from me
Up on the shore they work all day
Out in the sun they slave away
While we devotin'
Full time to floatin'
Under the sea

Where The River Goes by Stone Temple Pilots

I wanna be as big as a mountain
I wanna fly as high as the sun
I wanna know what the rents like in heaven
I wanna know where the river...
I wanna be as big as a mountain
I wanna fly as high as the sun
I wanna know what the rents like in heaven
I wanna know where the river goes
Where the river goes

Yes, The River Knows by The Doors

I promised I would drown myself in mysticated wine
Free fall flow, river flow
On and on it goes
Breathe under water 'till the end
Free fall flow, river flow
On and on it goes
Breathe under water 'till the end

Orinoco Flow (Sail Away) by Enya

Let me sail, let me sail, let the Orinoco flow,
Let me reach, let me beach on the shores of Tripoli.
Let me sail, let me sail, let me crash upon your shore,
Let me reach, let me beach far beyond the Yellow Sea.

Bish, I left Saturday drove to Savannah, went south to Daytona selling my wares. Picked up one new one in Macon, restocked with twenty four on St. Simons, picked up fifteen new orders for spring, and five places, the owners or buyers weren't in, but the employees that saw it loved it.

I saw scenes of the sea all the way down that were similar to the picture.
A1A from Jacksonvlle to Daytona has incredible views of the sea.

The picture is a reminder to where I have just been, and the "just do it" is a confirmation to where I'm going.

The economy kept anyone from buying now, on the coast, but most are believing spring will be good.

I loved hearing what so many had to say about their hope that they still have for this great place we call America. People are still dreaming. I know I am, it keeps me going.

Miracles, peace and love to us all.

I am steping out of the boat. God is that you? I am exercising my faith.Lord do I see you? I am pushing through the crowd. I will touch you. Is that you? I will seek you. I will find you.

Keeping your face concentrated on Him
Never stop
Walk toward the Ultimate Friend
His river is flowing
It flows through you
Have faith
He'll see you through

Three things abide or remain or will always be present; faith, hope and love.

I like the choice of words used in the Message that say ...we have three things to lead us ...Trust steadily in God, hope unswervingly, love extravagantly.

I like the notion of using trust in place of faith, they truly are the same thing in regard to believing in God's provision. To hope unswervingly is purely divine. That goes along with the thought of never giving up on goodness or a good outcome. It really ain't over till its over and even then it ain't over. The outcome was good before anyone ever went out and percieved the need to come back in so press on. To love extravagantly, yes thats what charity is all about.

All of these are maintained in the obedient following of the voice that becons us to step out of the boat and onto the water.

My actions of using positive words was greatly encouraged by Judah this Sunday and that is exactly what his Dad has maintained in his message through the years we have been influenced by him. I've been speaking positively from a more conscious perspective to everything in my house that holds water including the bodies of myself and family since then and the timing was right on for the benefit of my wife right now.

Thank you Holy Ghost for reminding us to take righteous dominion over the water and thank you to the obedient servants for the preaching and the hearing that are translated into actions of extravagant love.

Christmas, Christmas time is near
Time for toys and time for cheer
We've been good, but we can't last
Hurry Christmas, hurry fast
Want a plane that loops the loop
Me, I want a hula hoop
We can hardly stand the wait
Please Christmas, don't be late.

Want a plane that loops the loop
I still want a hula hoop
We can hardly stand the wait
Please Christmas, don't be late.
We can hardly stand the wait
Please Christmas, don't be late.

Yup, we're ready.

NO DOUBTING ALLOWED!
I just LOVE His AMAZING GRACE

But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.

28 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.

31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt

Great is Your mercy!

Welcome back Bishop!! I can't wait to hear how the trip was. I'm taking (as usual) a homework break to check in on the blog. I also wanted to send up a prayer request of a personal nature. The man who gave me my teaching job here in Newton County (Dr. Bob Daria, former principal of Cousins Middle and current principal of Eastside High School)was recently diagnosed with Melanona and this afternoon he had surgery to remove the tumor and check for metastasis. The teacher I am now and the person is due in large part to him giving me a chance. On a lighter note, and in reference to your question, today in the library there was Christmas music playing (not the good stuff either, the cheesy Manheimm steamroller stuff) and I thought it was a little early, and I generally wait until after thanksgiving to give the myspace the "Christmas treatment", but if you wanna get an early start, have at it.

Hello Everyone,

And welcome home bishop! Sounds like your trip was awesome.

I haven’t been on the blog for a while and I am waaaay behind, as I seem to be on most everything…….I have been so busy I actually totally forgot an online class last week until about two days later, I thought oh yeah I was supposed to do that class two days ago! Anyway enough of my excuses.

Judah …I was streaming Sunday, and you were AAANOINTED! Awesome word and much needed as we face so many challenges in our changing world today. Pro 12:14 has always been one of my most favorite verses “ A man will be satisfied with good by the fruit of his words, And the deeds of a man's hands will return to him.” As it speaks of how our words are producing tangible results just as the physical works of our hands do. I have it highlighted in every bible I own.
At the last part of the sermon when you really got cranked up I hated for it to end. I was outa my seat! I am looking forward to the next time .

Bishop…..Good Word tonight (caps on purpose) I don’t know how to express the peace and faith that has built up inside of me since I came to realize that the Christ Spirit is really what the new deal (covenant) is all about. This cannot be expressed too much. The world needs to know that Christ is alive and well, as powerful and present as ever and even more so NOW in us. We just need to be awakened to the FACT and begin to respond to the world around us accordingly. It’s not about getting people to do something so that they can begin to walk with God, they just need to know (be told) that God has been walking with and in them all the time through the work of the cross; this is truly the “Good News”. As you so well said, the other way around would have to be called “the good ultimatum” …………………

I am going to back up and do some catch-up reading on the blog.

Bishop I will send you another email with that info. also, I love christmas music anytime...

P Nancy....I love that picture, did you say you took it yourself.....WOW!

Peace to All,
Dennis

Your such a great pastor, dad, bish.. love to see people wander toward around and through God.. i dunno if that makes sense.. im rambling..

P.S.
Pay no attention to the hair in my picture, I don't know what got into me. I was buzzing and shaving my head years ago....way before it got popular.

Point being, the hair had to go! just cant take it anymore. Its hard to believe but I actually had hair to my shoulders when I was a teen. you would have never convinced me I would ever buzz my head again because they made me do it when I was little.

why am I telling you all this....

Peace,
Dennis

Why, I've seen more hair than that on a bar of soap!

Donald said...

We're in the same boat. My hair used to go almost all the way down my back and my beard hung all the way down my chest. You know the kind, when you ride the scooter your beard blows over your shoulders.
Then when the mess started falling out, I started buzzing and shaving like you said you did until everybody started doing it. That's when I decided to let it grow a little bit so that I wouldn't look just like another face in the crowd.
I guess we could grow it out and do a combover. It wouldn't be cool though unless it was like unbelievably long and twirled around my head about three times and dyed jet black. Then I could wear disco clothes and walk around all cool and act like nobody realized that I was bald headed.
