Congratulations, Mr. President-Elect!

I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone — for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one mediator between God and human beings, Christ Jesus, himself human, who gave himself as a ransom for all people. This has now been witnessed to at the proper time. And for this purpose I was appointed a herald and an apostle — I am telling the truth, I am not lying — and a true and faithful teacher of the Gentiles. Therefore I want the men everywhere to pray, lifting up holy hands without anger or disputing. (I Timothy 2:1-8 - TNIV)

Growing up Black in America....I can only try to articulate what I am feeling at this moment! I am so proud to be an American and even prouder to be a native of the Chicago area. I can remember when I was a little girl old people used to really say "do you think he's the one?" Like they did in the movie "The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman." Well tonight President-elect Barack Obama is THE ONE!

Praise God!

The process has prevailed, the people have been heard, and the President has been elected.
I therefore pledge my support by praying for wisdom, revelation, and integrity to be the foundation of this most important mandate given to President-Elect Obama. The challenges ahead of him are daunting and can't be overcome without our commitment to support, unity, and peace. We don't have to agree with all of his ideals and policies. In four years they can be challenged. But in the meantime, our prayers and positive energies directed toward him are crucial for wisdom and to the forward progression of this great country. May all know that we truly are the UNITED States of America.
This is the greatest time to be alive. History, on so many levels, has been made.

Bishop,
Safe travels to Korea. Enjoy yourself and the company of you Dad.
You are taking long strides on the face of the Earth, and with each step, you’re changing the world.

Peace
PM

For all of us who are afraid to wait on the Lord. Tonight proves what the Scriptures on Isaiah 40:31 says: But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.

Isaiah 49:13- Sing for joy, O heavens!
Rejoice, O earth!
Burst into song, O mountains!
For the Lord has comforted His people and will have compassion on them in their suffering.

(Isaiah 9:1- 3) 1. Nevertheless, that time of darkness and despair will not go on forever. The land of Zebulon and Naphtali will be humbled, but there will be a time in the future when Galilee of the Gentiles, which lies along the road that runs between the Jordan and the sea, will be filled with glory.

2. The people who walk in darkness,
Will see a great light!
For those who live in a land of deep of deep darkness, a light will shine.

3. You will enlarge the nation of Israel,
And its people will rejoice.
They will rejoice before you
As people rejoice at the harvest
And like warriors dividing the plunder
4. For you will break the yoke of their slavery
And lift the heavy burden from shoulders.
You will break the oppressor’s rod,
Just as you did when you destroyed the army of Median!

Isaiah 25:1-2 Lord, you are my God.
I honor you and praise you,
Because you have done amazing things.
You have always done what you say you would do;
You have done what you planned long ago.
2. You have made the city a pile of rocks
And have destroyed her walls.
The city our enemies built with strong walls is gone; it will never be built again.

I see the Lord sitting on His throne. The train of His robe filled the Temple with His glory.

Tonight, we the Elect see the Glory of God all over this election.

Open the gates of Heavens let it RAIN let it RAIN!
“But forget all that- it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do something new! See, I have already begun! Do not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.

Like President-Elect said to us on his speech, he cannot do it alone. He’s asking us for our help; to do our parts to bring reconciliation back on this earth to the original Vision the Lord has intended it to be.

The ways of the Lord are without fault. The Lord’s Words are Pure. He is a Shield to those who trust Him.
God guides us through the inspiration of His word, the inner impression of His presence and through circumstances He has created or allowed.

For those of us who don’t feel comfortable with the outcome result of the Election tonight. I pray peace to you and may God enlightened you’re the eyes of your heart to know His will for us and for the Country.

Bishop,

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me,
For the Lord has anointed you to go and bring good news to the poor. He has sent you to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners will be free.
He has sent you to tell those who mourn that the time of the Lord’s favor has come, and with it, the day of God’s anger against their enemies. To all who mourn in Korea, He will give a crown of beauty for their ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the Lord has planted for His own glory.

God bless you and Dad Swilley in your journey to Korea.
I Love you both, go and hurry to get back soon. We missed you already!

Hey bloggers,

Thanks for your words. I'm really happy that the election is over, and that we know the outcome for sure before dad and I leave the country this morning. I don't think I could have left today if anything was unresolved. Anyway, it definitely is going to make this international meeting with world leaders that much more interesting.

I pray that all of you will come out tonight to pray for your new president, and for the direction of your country, and I would have said that if John McCain had been elected, as well (in fact, he does need your prayers today).

I hope to hear that you all came to church simply as Believers, and as Americans, and that you took the Scripture that I posted to heart.
