Hello ALL,

How’s it going? It is late, and I am soon to bed.

I wanted to share an analogy that is not mine, but a rephrase of what a great friend of mine, Iris, shared with me following a wonderful get together tonight, The get together was filled with sharing, revelation and teaching, all with the background of music from, the 60’s and 70s on this XM station from my satellite TV provider, Moody Blues, Stones, Aerosmith, Deep Purple, Beatles, Ted Nugent, etc.. all my favorites. I know, it has been around for awhile, but is a new discovery for me.

Anyway back to the analogy. I see the ocean. The ocean begins with a drop of melting ice on a mountain or frozen area that begins to thaw. That drop goes into a trickle, to a stream, a river, a larger river, and eventually the ocean.

We have named the oceans – Pacific, North Atlantic, Indian, South Pacific, and then the Seas, but The Ocean does not recognize our names for it, it is One Ocean. I see the One Ocean, even though I understand and appreciate the drops, (individuals). Streams (local communities) rivers (sub cultures), larger rivers (cultures), and yet they all end up transformed from fresh water to salt water ocean, regardless of the name We give to that specific ocean, sea, or gulf.- It is all The One Ocean.

That One Ocean is what is most exciting to me. That One Body we are ALL a part of, even if the drop melting from the ice does not conceive The One Ocean, it is an equal part of it. Like different people, communities, sub cultures, and cultures are part of The Universe (Natural and Spiritual simultaneously). Both the drop and The Universe as the drop was already part of it in the ice, or in the raindrop that fell from the water vapor from the rivers or oceans and dropped somewhere different form where it became water vapor.

You see. The Ocean is what we are as a drop, fully embracing the drop, the stream, small river and large river everywhere. No matter where the drop goes, it is part of The Ocean, no matter the path, geography, whether it flows North or South, it is the drop and the Ocean. The Ocean is its destiny.

Regardless of the belief process, the community or cultural details, we ALL, Each One, become The Ocean, the atmosphere water vapor. Enjoying the drop, stream or river, our eye is on The One Ocean, or even more the H2O and Fire system that sustains our Spiritual and Natural experience DNA helix.

Thank You Iris for the description of what I see (sea).

As I am finishing this Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band came on, I remember the song and the movie. This station is really great! How did I not know about it all this time ???? Do wonders ever cease ? Of course not. One of my most favorites, ‘Born to be Wild ‘ was just on earlier. I am not a real CD or MP3 person, so the cassettes and albums have been falling away, this station is really fun.!!

Now, ‘You aint seen Nothin Yet’ by BTO, how fun ! Seriously, this is what HS says to me all the time, and every day, I wonder, what could possibly be next ? And, I actually have been around, and still She amazes me.

4:25 AM///TONIGHT SLEEP SEEMS FRUITLESS...so I came to see who/what was here.

AS SOON as the page opened and I saw the dove this song, which I haven't heard sung in at least 10years, at my old church, came flooding clearly through my head.

Enjoy the lyrics, you may know it ~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On the wings of a snow white dove,
he sends his pure sweet love.
A sign from above,
on the wings of a dove.
When troubles surround us, when evils come.
The body grows weak, the spirit grows numb.
When these things beset us,he doesn't forget us,
he sends down his love,
on the wings of a dove.
On the wings of a snow white dove,
he sends his pure sweet love.
A sign from above,
on the wings of a dove.
When Noah had drifted on the flood many days,
he searched for land in various ways.
Troubles, he had some,but he wasn't forgotten,
he sent him his love,
on the wings of a dove.
On the wings of a snow white dove,
he sends his pure sweet love.
A sign from above,
on the wings of a dove.
When Jesus went down to, the river that day,
he was baptised in the usual way,
and when it was done, God blessed his son,
he sent him his love,
on the wings of a dove.
On the wings of a snow white dove,
he sends his pure sweet love.
A sign from above,
on the wings of a dove.
On the wings of a dove.
On the wings of a dove.
On the wings of a dove.
We sang it especially on Pentecost, we celebrated that day in a mighty big way, dove, balloon lifts, everyone wearing fire colors. LOVED PENTECOST SUNDAY in that Catholic Church of days gone by.
Peace,
Northern Light
I'm all smiles after that read Erik.
The Sea and the Song will never end.
"Without vision, the people perish." - Proverbs 29:18
If it's pleasing it seems to me the Holy Spirit is the perfect guide for us to follow God's will, in order to be at the service of all Spirit’s peoples and all Spirit’s creation. The gift of the vision is for us all. This Wellspring is for all who wish to follow the Lord's command to "put out into the deep" - ["duc in altum"] in order to be Christ's fishers of men and women for the sake of the gospel of Christ Jesus. The Ring was created in response to the call of the Called, to call men and women to the Spirit, and make the face of Christ appear, and the voice of Christ heard by all peoples of all cultures and heart.
In origin, essence, and direction, the I Am is nevertheless, to all who wish to be part of this new mission, at the beginning of this third millennium. We invite others to share the richness of Holy Spirit, spirituality; the diversity of their path as human beings; their styles of worship and development, and their particular manner of providing a form of Spirit service for the universal family of God. The Lord is blessing all those who work toward this aim.
A revised Catholic prayer
Clap your hands, all you nations;
shout to God with cries of joy.
How awesome is the Lord Most High,
the great King over all the earth!
He subdued nations under us,
peoples under our feet.
He chose our inheritance for us,
the pride of Jacob, whom he loved.
God has ascended amid shouts of joy,
the Lord amid the sounding of trumpets.
Sing praises to God, sing praises;
sing praises to our King, sing praises.
For God is the King of all the earth;
sing to him a psalma of praise.
God reigns over the nations;
God is seated on his holy throne.
The nobles of the nations assemble
as the people of the God of Abraham,
for the kings of the earth belong to God;
he is greatly exalted.
Bish,
Don't know if the previous comment made it, so here goes again. I watched the service streaming today. You know how much I love words; structure, syntax, palandromic puzzles, etc.
So when I heard you say "Be careful for nothing", the first thing that I thought of was "Be care less for everything". It reminds me of the prayer in "What the Bleep". I create my day be establishing my expectations of me first, then my words, then my surroundings. If I take care of these, then I can make 90% of what I want to happen - happen. That leaves God to do what only He can do. I am good with that. I am at peace with that. I am is in control and He knows who I am.
Much love
Chuck
Donald,
Is Angel Dust that dust in Golden Compass, or in Peter Pan? I guess lemon pledge should be used sparingly . :)
In my deleted post, I did not express my point well. Sorry.
The worship today was awesome. Even though it always is, it is still brand new each time.
Another Sunday, another wonderful word. Sometimes in our walk what we think is one thing God sees as another. What we think is conviction is condemnation, and what we assume as "boldly approaching the throne" can be pretentious or even obnoxious (and-pardon the saying, but you know what happens when you assume. I'm just saying) My former pastor gave a similar lesson on prayer using his children in an analogy. When his sons would come to him without so much as a "hey dad what's up" and ask him for money or to borrow the car or something, he was so put off by how they asked, he wasn't big on honoring the request. His daughter on the other hand, would always say something sweet to him, thank him for something, and usually asked with a please or "if it's ok", and he seemed tell her yes. The point he was trying to make is that your prayers shouldn't just be "I want, I want, I want". He gave us the ACTS acronymn to use in prayer
Adoration of God
Confession of sins
Thanksgiving
Supplication
In the word today, you reminded me that the confession is really not necessary. If we adore and give thanks, the supplication is an afterthought. LOVE IT!!
ps: In keeping with the thoughts on joy last week, this video clip has made its way around the web of a couple that did an unusual wedding entrance. I was APPALED the first time I saw it because "things in a church should be done in decency and in order" (A CITM member with a religous prejudice, go figure) but when I watched it again I saw the sheer joy of the moment. There is a time to mourn and a time to dance, and hopefully preparing to spend the rest of your life with someone would make you wanna celebrate. So here it is:
Bishop,
Some Sundays you say things perfectly without saying "much" at all. Sometimes "I love you" does more than John 3:16. Sometimes a smile frees you more than a sermon.
Bishop, you are a veteran in the Holy Spirit. Today you gave me just what my soul needed and I didn't even know it. You are my Michaelangelo.
It's all good. There is NO need to carry stress or heaviness... we are free... everything is working out for us... we are being perfected... and if I said anything different than this, I would be a lier.
You are my good father,
chad
Great message today. With ideas like making carefree and thankful requests be known, and letting your yes be yes and your no be no, a new type of faith is being born.
Ebony,
Thank You so much for posting that video. That was so beautiful and uplifting.
Wow, today was great. When I woke up this morning I thanked God I could walk and I said to him I wished one morning I could wake up and my feet not hurt but I gave praise to him anyway because if he choose to heal me great if he choose not too then he had given me grace to bear it. I'm not stoned out of my mind on pain killers and I'm not in a wheel chair so its all good.
Then I get to church and Bishop said just put it out there without begging and pleading and leave it in his hands to do as he please which was just in line with what was in my heart this morning.
Then my daughter gets to church and says she's not feeling well but just had to make it to church. I have always told them if you are not feeling well but if you can just make it to the church house, its something about just being in the house that makes it better. I was happy that she made it there and we went down to the alter and I just thanked God that He had done what He said, because in my heart he has healed her. Although the symptoms may prevail, in the spirit she is all good. After sitting listening to you and laughing at how funny you are I saw the smile come back on her face and by the end of service she was walking in the healing.
Thank you Bishop for again allowing the Holy Spirit to use you because laughter is the best medicine.
