MkITN XIII, Verses 1 - 11

1. As Jesus was leaving the Temple area that day, one of his disciples said to Him, “Teacher, just look at these magnificent buildings with their imposing and impressive architecture!

2. Jesus replied, "You may be rightfully impressed with what you see before you...the Temple is, indeed, something to behold. But the truth is, there is not one stone in that building that is not going to end up in a pile of rubble when this city is destroyed."

3. Later, Jesus sat alone on The Mount of Olives across the valley from the Temple. And Peter, James, John, and Andrew came to Him and said,

4. "Tell us more about the destruction of the Temple that you mentioned before. When are these things going to happen? Will that be the sign of the completion and consummation of this age and era?”

5. Jesus said to them, “Take care that no one deceives or misleads you on these points…understand these beginning events which mark the period between My resurrection and the Temple’s destruction…

6. For during this time many will come in falsehood, claiming, ‘I, alone, am the Christ’, and these deceivers will lead many away from the truth of Who and what the Christ is, in reality.

7. And during this time you will hear of wars and threats of wars…see that you don’t panic, because this must take place…wars will come and go as they always have…but the end of the age is not yet.

8. Nation will fight against nation…ruler will fight against ruler…earthquakes will occur in various places, as well as famines, as they always have. But this is only the first of the birth pangs…the beginning of a new order.

9. These events are a part of the natural flow of things, but when they begin to happen, pay attention to their significance! It means that some of you will be handed over to suffer affliction and tribulation, and will literally be beaten in the synagogues. You will stand trial before governors and kings because you are My followers, but this can be your opportunity to demonstrate the power of the Gospel.

10. For this Gospel…this good news of the Kingdom…will be preached throughout the entire, known world as a testimony to all the nations.

11. But when you are arrested and stand trial, don’t worry in advance about what you’re going to say. Just say what God tells you at that time…speak in the now…for it will not be just you speaking, but the Holy Spirit with, in, and through you.”

Well, I mean cmon'. If they don't try and stone you for this one...

It's fascinating how Jesus rejects being God in the scriptures by stating that only God is good, yet He embraces the totality of He Himself being the great I Am.

Something very critical lies here at the heart of this matter. Something tied into Jesus saying, "On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you."

This is not the first time this revelation has been presented to me as to what Jesus was trying to truly say here. Not that their would be people coming along claiming they were Jesus, but that people would elevate Jesus into something that defeats the true intention of Jesus message. Or at least tries and make Him exclusive to it.

Like worshiping the finger when it's pointing at the moon.

God I love Jesus.

I totally believe He is the most perfect picture ever presented of God's love towards the world. I would never want to diminish in the slightest everything He means to me and everything I believe He can mean to everyone. No greater love is their than to lay down your life for your friends. Jesus is so willing to be the guide for anyone who will have Him. He certainly is my guiding source of inspiration and example. He is Lord. But He did say He had to go away, and He didn't go away to leave us as orphans. He returned as pure Holy Spirit.

1 COR 15:28 CLNT

Now, whenever all may be subjected to Him, then the Son Himself also shall be subjected to Him Who subjects all to Him, that God may be All in all

Until God rules as Father All in all, I'm so glad we have Jesus as our guide and big brother. But picking up your cross and following Him means something; and this mystery in CHRIST IN YOU, the hope of glory!

As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love.

John 15:9

One last thought. If you ever want to find Jesus, you don't have to look very far. Not only is He in you, He is everywhere among you, especially in the least of these.

That's an incredible picture of the Temple.

Mayun SOZ! You are ON FIRE, Dude!I love that you said this as it just reaffirms the Flow...I have found myself contemplating this very point time and again...what is the full revelation? What is it for you? For me? For US? It will come in His time...but keep posting...I enjoy reading them!

Bish...another amazingly insightful paraphrase. I am sometimes curious as to why it is that you do not combust from the heat of His Fire running in your veins...or simply walk into another dimension (hmmm...now that idea has merit for us all, doesn't it? Walking into another dimension and manifesting Him right here on Earth...what a concept!). Thank you Bishop...and please...don't stop doing that voodoo that youdoo so well...

All the trees (truths) of the garden are good to eat from. Except the one in the middle that said any of the the other trees (truths) were good or bad.

This is a fantastic rendering Bishop, but what I have to say was actually sparked from a comment made by Mystic.
I was raised in rural Alabama. As a result of that upbringing I was blessed to watch nature happen all around me.
One of those events surfaced in my mind as I was reading Mystic's comment about "simply walking into another dimension".
I can remember from time to time seeing snake skins laying around in barns, smoke houses, sheds, etc. from where a snake had taken refuge while it went through the process of putting off its old skin which allowed it to begin its next growing phase.
Actually, Mystic, I believe that we do that also but we don't actually leave behind that visible evidence.
But everytime someone says to us, "You know, you seem to have changed" we can take that as a confirmation that we have gone through a similar event as a snake shedding something that was preventing it from continuing its growth cycle.
Eventually we will all "literally" shed our skin and "literally" walk into another dimension.
Most people refer to that as death, but when I read Mystic's comment I thought about the snake shedding its skin. It leaves behind the unneeded and continues on. That is exactly what we will do one day. I would think that the snake probably gives a big sigh of relief when the shedding process is complete and experiences an unbelievable sense of freedom.
Now how do I wrap this up so everyone knows exactly what I am feeling inside.
Heck if I know.

Beautiful, SOZ. Ditto what Mystic and Bishop said.

V.11..."just say what God tells you at that time.". OK. Will do.

Read something else about Jesus today that really stuck out to me.

Jesus Christ, who is the "express image" of God (Heb. 1:3).

That says a lot.
