"At the very hour when the Lord Jesus was being crucified outside the city of Jerusalem, the priests and religious leaders were worshipping God in the temple, inside the city.
Both in His life and in His death, the Lord Jesus Himself was outside all religious formalism, and so will His true disciples be."

Doesn't it seem out of death comes life. Letting that which may be suffering die so that which may be trying to grow blossom.
Out of the blood bath came the River that washes us white as snow.

Sheri, it's not one of mine, but thanks for the vote of confidence...

Amen on that ! Outside of all religious formalism.
Thing is, not that it is first choice, but, to include everyone, hangin with the religious is needed too. Just not as much fresh air as is with those outside of all religious formalism.
I sometimes see it as lambs and lions. Religious are ready to devour with dogma and doctrine as the lamb walks by. However, the Lamb (with peace, joy, righteousness, love for all without the shackles of doctrine and dogma) changes the lion, and they can lay down together in the simple presence of God, without any clothes, covering of dogma and doctrine. It just gets in the way of the intimacy with God. No need for 'clothes' there.
Good analogy there Erik. A good Friday to all.
